So not bad really. Today, I have cut the grass back and front, popped to the shops, walked the dogs stopping at the farm shop on the way, packed away all my summer clothes, put the winter duvet on the bed and spent time on here.

Just about to help DD pack away her summer stuff and tidy her room.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

Weather here is not as predicted, it keeps drizzling.

DS2 home but gone to play tennis now
    DS3 back from squash
DS1 helped in the garden for HH and now gone to work

Going to put WM on and then go and do a food shop and recycle some stuff whilst I'm out.

DDs room is tidy, summer stuff is away, cases are out ready for hols packing next week and the house is hoovered through. I tried the essential oil on a cotton bud tip. Not sure if the house smells of lemon or its just what I can smell on my hands!

Time for cuppa, crisps and a read of the paper - in the garden in the sunshine. Been a brilliant day today for getting the bedding dry.

  • Good afternoon :D I have been awol this week. Very busy with the paid stuff :) DH has been doing lots of flying though, and the house looks ok.
    This morning I have:
filled out a TC form (that arrived this morning!!) - need to post it
done 3 loads of washing (1 in, 2 still on the line)
done about an hour on the Art Club accounts
    S&S the kitchen
phone BG about the new boiler (they are not open
looked at a Safeguarding audit (needs to be done by Monday)
caught up with the thread :o

Hmmm. Doesn't look much now it's written down :(
I have LOADS of Psychology textbooks from the first 2 years at uni - some are unused and all are in good condition so if anyone knows a student looking for cheap books then I'm your person! I seem to remember the reading lists come out very late so maybe I haven't missed the boat this year. I'd rather they went to someone I 'know' iyswim. They were bought 3-4 yrs ago - I was a 'mature' student. LOL.

My DD1 is in her final year of a Psychology Degree. Do you have a list of what you have got and how much you want? I don't know if she wants/needs any, but I could ask :)
We've often said he should come to our class and we'll leave him for an hour (without the TAs as he doesn't seem to think we need them!). See how he copes with 7 autistic boys (one of whom is oxygen dependent and one with serious behaviours), plus 2 others with genetic conditions resulting in physical and learning difficulties :p

Mind you, I wouldn't want to have to deal with the state of the children and my classroom afterwards!!

:rotfl:It doesn't sound very fair on the poor children though! I would also like to leave Ms Truss in a nursery, or better, get her to pick up 6 children from school (say between ages 5-9), while looking after a baby & 1 or 2 pre-schoolers, take them home, entertain them & referee all arguments, while also cooking them a healthy well-balanced meal (that they may or may not eat!) and clean up after them!! They think they know it all! :D

Thanks Kazw for the tip on selling empty ink cartridges. I have never thought of that! And I have a carrier bag of them in the cupboard under the stairs :p I have been hoping to swap them for Tesco kids vouchers to get free stuff, but the make I use wasn't listed :( I may as well get some cash instead! It is amazing the junk you can swap for cash!! I noticed someone selling empty Partyl!te tealight holders once as well ;)

    Ok - jobs to do...
    dog needs walking
    SEF needs finishing
    Safeguarding Audit needs doing
Ebeast pictures need doing (including empty cartridges!) & stuff needs listing!

Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them

Hello all. Piggers, fab owls. Not many people can pull of red like that but I think your DD has the colouring for it.
Kids have changed their bedding and the WM has been fed x2. DH has just made tea :). Washing folded and ready to be put away. Am hoping to get to the shirts in time to hang them as they are supposed to be non iron.
Off to work in an hour or so. Ttfn.

I'll pm you a list over the weekend. I'm not so worried about making lots of money I would rather they went to a good home. ;)
