    Very slow moving today.
    - emptied remains of boot sale from car and hung damp stuff on line (drizzled during much of sale) - have managed to shift or consolidate so now have 3 large empty plastic boxes in garage!
    - hoovered out car and cleaned inside car windows, dusted
    - hoovered kitchen, conservatory, hall, lounge and dining room

Guess that's about it really. Sun out now so must do some gardening. Feel a bit black doggy really so should get busy or I'll just read, feel guilty and even more pathetic.

NarcOlepsy Well done on your sorting and selling. I remember how upset you was last time you sorted your horse things. Big hugs x

Thanks. A bit peed off that I feel so low today; I thought it would be quite liberating and I'd be bursting with energy.............instead I just get into a cycle of reading/computer playing etc rather than getting on with house, garden, work etc which I will feel a sense of achievement in. Oh well tomorrow is another day and it will be an action packed one, will give myself a sharp talking to.

It does take time. You do have 3 empty tubs that you didn't this morning.

I have to admit to owning a garage of doom. I'm not usually allowed to open the door as it can be difficult after some yobs bashed it not long after we had bought a new one. We had a new kitchen in 2007 just before our wedding so there is lots of stuff from the old one that I had forgotten about. :o i have only been in the garage as we are having a new bathroom this week. We now plan to take a box to the tip as many times as possible ( 1 a week). We took an old lawn mower today.

We have achieved quite a lot today:
    - emptied car after yesterday's AGM and what turned out to be an unplanned but successful shopping trip before the evening concert: managed to get 2 tubs of textured paint, which we need for the utility, and an impulse buy of a bright stripey door mat for inside the front door ;)
    - OH carried all the AGM boxes upstairs but they are now dumped in the middle of the back bedroom, so I shall have to sort them tomorrow
    - out all morning at church, then came home and (to borrow a phrase from Pigpen - one of my favourites) I minced the lawn and also got rid of some more dandelion roots with my clever daisy grubber tool
    - meanwhile DH sawed old doors in half
    - lunch of leftover butternut squash and sweet potato soup
    - DH took old doors to the tip
    - I emptied, swept and sorted the shed, unwrapping several items that had simply been dumped in there when we moved, and tidied up the pots of flowers outside the front door
    - DH came back and took himself to bed for a "5-minute nap" that lasted at least an hour and a half
    - I have put one coat of emulsion on the walls and ceiling of the cupboard under the stairs, hitting my head three times in the process *ouch! ouch! ouch!*
    - DH finally emerged from his cocoon and put the second coat of emulsion on the DR ceiling

I am now shattered. Must cook our meal and then intend to catch up on iPlayer all evening. I think I deserve it.

    Personal challenge update:
We are both being very good about our SW diet and writing down everything we eat. We even managed to go out for a meal yesterday evening and pick sensible items off the menu - yes, they took us slightly over our limit, but we hadn't used up all our allowances previously ;)

    Salmon tonight, nomnom...

Will see you all on the new thread.
  • Hi everyone

Have felt tired, a bit fuzzy headed and generally a bit bleugh today. In fact if Downton wasnt on at 9 I think I might have gone to bed.

DS2 has a horrible cold and when your 12 yo wants to go to bed at 7.30pm you know they are feeling ill!! Just hope thats not what I am getting, I really dont need it at the moment.

Just done what needs to be done today really. I must get properly flying this week though. We need to decide on a plan for the living room, it would be so nice to get the furniture back in there but there is no point if we are just going to move it out again.

Ah well, off to make a cuppa and make some plans for the week I think.
