Well I have managed to get a lot of flying done today, therefore I'm going to have a deserved night off and spend some quality time with DH.
My plans for Sunday are to spend some quality time with DH and the kids as we are going for a family meal to celebrate DH's birthday. As well as family time I will need to get my course homework done and sort clothes for next week.0 -
We are eating again
kids are having leftover gammon with chips and runner beans from the garden. I'm having more of my smoky beany whatever it is. Looks less like a soup every time I check on it
All had a good sleep so I expect they will be up playing till maybe 8.30. That's ok, they can help me get a few bits ready for morning too. Mum and stepdad are doing a carboot (more of a vanboot) and I've said we'll go "visit" - so I'm getting the flasks out, potty, water bottles etc. she said its always got a bacon buttie van and an icecream van, but its murder trying to get a cuppa.
She said the kids can help her, while I go find the bike man - he sells new kids bikes so if I can find one for DS, I can stash in the back of our car without him knowing, and bob it up in the loft for the December festival...
I've made chilli jam a la nigella this aft, just 1 jar, looks good though. I've also got more apples that need my attention bit might leave that till tomorrow. There is still a pile of kids "artwork" in the dining room that I need to rehome / recycle...Bossymoo

Put them in a separate tank or in a nursery net otherwise the big fish eat them
3 binbags of rubbish out of my room.. I reshuffled Christmas presents into various boxes which weren't quite full so I have lots of full boxes and have got rid of all the bags and tiny boxes that were lurking about.. I did a vague inventory of what I have for who .. I need a main present for DD2 and DS3 and just stocking fillers, books and my annual lush order.. lets see if they can package it properly this year so bottles don't get broken and trash everything.
DD1 is almost done and I then need to sort the grandbeasts and the outlaws.
DW on
2 more loads in the WM after emptying the bathroom basket and making DS2 bring his stinky pile of festering fabric downstairs.. his has to be beaten with sticks to get it in the machine... mind you he need beating with a stick to get him in the shower.
DD2 and DS2 have been told they are cooking their own dinner tonight
Wool found for Squeaks school cardy so I'm starting that tonight. I finished the lilac one for the baby and will do the sleeves for her pink one when I've done the school ones for Squeak.. then Dot wants an Owlet too after she tried on Spams for size!.. So DD2 asked for a sweater too so I shall find a pattern for her one after that to surprise her.. but I still need to finish the fluffy one for DD1 but I hate knitting it!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
The books are finally done
:j Just writing a full list of who is getting one so I know where to call at on Thursday to pick them up again! Going to load them up into my wally-trolley and put them out with DD's help
I've been doing laundry today and decided to wash those new throw cushions I bought. Imagine my surprise when I took the cover off to find they're Next, and so is the filler. I even happier now at only spending £2 on both of them
I best move myself, DD is getting grumpy at me for taking so longCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Just need to clean my teeth and I'll be off too. I have a prescription toothpaste - 2800ppm fluoride, but I think they've given me the wrong one - this is 5000ppm  better not use it till I can check with the dentist.
DD in my bed, she was crying "but I'm afraid of the dark" <puts light on low> "but I'm afraid of the light and I need to be dark and I need to be in mummys bed where I need to snuggle for all night :rotfl: how do I say no to that???
If DS comes in too I'm leaving home... Well I'll go in the spare bed at leastBossymoo

Well the frantic and emotional clearing out of horse clutter for the boot sale was successful to the tune of £100 profit, and more if a saddle I left with someone fits any of their horses. The weather was carp so not many buyers; the kitchen looks a mess and the leftover stuff is still in my car - but at least it was worth it and it has cleared a lot of space in the garage and probably in my head! OH worked really hard helping me clean the stuff, price it and mop up my emotions so big hugs to him. Managed Mr T on the way home so had steak, stir-fry & savoury rice watching a DVD this evening - oh and Babycham for me (bizarrely although I'm generally teetotal, I occasionally drink champagne or Babycham. Like 3 times a year!). We're both really tired now (so why am I on the computer?).
Will have to fly round the house tomorrow as the kitchen and hall have really suffered as we've dragged in dusty boxes of dusty stuff all week. Still it will be rewarding to clean.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Thank you so much for that. Very strange evening here, and that made me laugh. We got home at about 1.00 am and could hear the cat crying. It took us an hour to find him - shut in the wardrobe in my office. Poor little sod had been stuck in there for eight hours. He's got a bat up his nightdress now. Methinks it will be a while before he settles down.
If anyone knows who Dom (or Woo) and Pat are, could you let them know the bottle of wine was lovely.Better is good enough.0
