  • Well the news is :- DH is booked in for day surgery on Tuesday. Fingers crossed it works - if it doesn't it's the end of his cricket career!

Mum has been poked and prodded. Amongst other tests she's had a biopsy, mammogram and ultrasound. Lump is officially 'suspicious.' She's back at hosp on 30th. Whether or not I go is dependent on how DH gets on next week.

DD2 really struggling now b/f back at Uni - he's out and about (he's not back at lectures yet) she's got all this to cope with plus missing him. Life really ain't fair is it?

    hugs to all

Hey all, I'm just home from Uni....still haven't caught up with the thread :o sorry.

I do gather however that a few hugs are required so have a massive virtual one from me.

I thought I was super organised this morning and put chicken curry in the sc before I left and have come home to find it boiled dry, slightly black and the house slightly smoky  I left it on high all day :(

On inspection it was all black around the sides of the pot and the centre part seems ok but I'm not sure if any of it can be saved... :(

Best get on and do something productive as moping wont achieve much...

HHC if anyone wants to play?

  • phonecall at 3.15 - local firm would like to deliver wardrobe today instead of tomorrow. Cue frantic flylady flinging and hoovering to make a path to youngest's bedroom. Two blokes took 10 minutes to get it up the stairs - it wasn't their manual handling that was the problem, it was their spatial awareness!

Any way - the wardrobe is in situ and looking good - they didn't unwrap it - they practically ran away. Still it means DD2 can sleep in in the morning, which is good.

Took a walk to the post box with the bundle to send some vital car insurance papers I've been sitting on. Didn't get to the end of the road before she threw up milk all down my cleavage. I'd forgotten all those hidden delights.
    All 15 min tasks done.
