On the phone to sky right now.The guy put me on hold right away for some minutes and that was only after I gave my details.

I told them that I wanted to cancel movies and my hubby at a different address has the offer he then put me on hold again. He then put me on to customer services who told me I cant heve the offer as I have sky world and the offer cant be applied to my account.I said how unfair it was and blah blah, but she didnt want to know.Thank goodness I rang the free number.

Thanks guys! :T Have just got off the phone to Sky (very lengthy call but not on 0870 no though) Now got Sky Movies for £1 per month. Said I'd received flyer  They didn't mention that I hadn't been sent it.

    Thanks again! :D

Thanks! I signed up for the offer and deleted sky sports at the same time (not watching it much at this time of the year). So I have swapped movies for sports and saved £14 per month. I'm pleased with that deal.
  • we signed up for this offer in the middle of the week. We got a letter today confirming the change though and it says we will be billed the full sky movies price!! Is this just a standard letter they send out when people subscribe to the movies, and we won't be charged that price, or is it an error? Anyone else had this problem?

I'm not happy - I accepted this offer for £1 a mth for movies for 3 months. Here's what they say my bill will look like, bear in mind I currently pay £18 a month anyway:

    July - £18.06
    Aug - £19.00
    Sept - £28.07

If I cancel the movie channels on 25th Aug before the billing process, I will avoid paying the higher amount in Sept - thus meaning I lose a month of the movies offer. If I cancel before the 3 months of the movie channels is up, I will then get a credit on my Oct bill - but I am not convinced of this knowing sky!

July bill looks strange as sky gave me a £10 credit due to a complaint I made because I took the sky+ offer in may and was told i would pay no subscription even before they scrapped it on july 1st, but then i was told by someone else id pay more in june so they credited me.

    Hi,
I'm thinking of trying to make the call but I have a question. we are going on holiday next week for two weeks. The place where we are staying has a sky box but I think it is just for basic channels. If we took our Sky card, would we be able to watch the movies whilst we are out there?
    Thanks

Sky cards are matched to their boxes.
Only way round it would be to phone sky when you are away and get your card matched to new box. You'd then have to phone again when you get back to switch back.

I have just been on the phone with them and they told me after looking at my account no offers had been sent to me. I argued I had been sent the letter, they asked what was the phone number on the letter, then after waiting about 5 mins I was told I can have the offer, thanks all

thats a bit wrong itsme. if you havent been offered something theres no need to lie to another person. it's people like yourself that make these companies have to charge so much.
