Just tried and was told I can't get the offer as I haven't had a letter , I asked why I haven't had a letter while others had and he said they were sent out at random and I may get sent an offer in the future.

Hi, Just started working for sky. When you log into a customers account you can see a list of 'mail shots' delivered to that customer, it shows the advisor all the offers youve been sent and a general cust service advisor can only add whats been offered specifically to you. Only cancellations gets a list of general offers applicable. We dont get told how or who is chosen for the offers. Calling with an offer that has been sent to someone else wont work unfortunatley....unless you can get passed through to a nice supervisor or are wanting to cancel :(. Customer service cant apply an offer which isnt on your account.

    Cheers Matt.
  • Sorted!! I'm on the basic package £15 and have now got the movies:beer:

    Thanks guys
  • Hi My first post so I hope it is in the right place!!:o

I have a sky movies package on my account and my son who lives nearby who has the basic package had a mailshot from sky offering him 3 months sky movies @ £1 per month special offer.

This must be taken up before the end of June.

He came around we both looked through it and there`s no catches (except to remember to cancel before the three months are up or it goes up to full price) He upgraded...You have to quote "sky movies summer special offer three months for £1 per month"

I then grumbled to sky and asked to be put through to cancellations saying that I would like to cancel my movie package as he is now paying £1 a month and I`m paying full price. I was promply told that they have given me 3 months sky movies @£1 per month..:T

So if you have sky basic package... movies for three months @ £1 per month

If you have movies...complain and get them for three months for £1 per month.:j

    Hello kenusher

    Welcome to the MSE site.

There is an existing thread 'Sky Movies £1 a month for 3 months' in the 'Shop but don't drop' board. I'll move your thread across so that the Board Guides can merge them together.;)

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. They wouldn't give me the offer as I hadn't received the flyer. I insisted I had the flyer she said fax it to us and then we'll sort it out. Looks like I won't be getting it.

Just phone back and try another, Sky are a bit of a lottery. The first one I tried said no way so I cut her off, redialled and had the deal within a couple of minutes. Even if it takes half a dozen goes you will succeed if determined.

Only problem for me is that the movie channels have changed somewhat since I last had them a couple of years ago and a week in I'm questioning whether they are worth £1 a month. Certainly not worth much more.
