  • I paid online for car parking at Tamworth Train station today. When i arrived at the station the car park was full but I parked in an undesignated space not obstructing anyone.
Returned back this evening and had a penalty notice attached to my window screen from Indigo.
They have taken my days car parking money in the knowledge that the car park is oversubscribed and are then trying to fine me.
    Any help much appreciated

  • Another Lidl one.

A friend got a ticket for not entering her registration number and asked me what to do. I told her firmly to write to the CEO. She was a bit nervous about that, wanting to see the store manager instead. But she did as suggested and the ticket was quickly cancelled even though she hadn't kept the receipt and had paid in cash.

Best of all she thinks I'm a star, when all I'd done is a 5 minute search on here!

  • Hi,

I don't know how to start my own Thread on here. Got a parking ticket from UKCPS. As I parked up some guy approached me and gave him is parking ticket which had over an hour on it. I offered him money he said its ok & left. I had my interview and returned to car and went home, Then I receives this parking fine stating that I didn't have a valid pay and display ticket. I've got a feeling that the ticket I had been given had maybe ran out by 10 mins by the time I returned to my car. They're saying I am fined £100, that I've not responded to previous letter so my fine has increased when I've never received any previous letter.

Please will somebody help? I really cannot afford to pay this.

    Thanks.

    Jo

  • I received a £40 parking ticket/fine by letter for overstaying the 2 hours in a car park at Crewe branch of Dunelm Mills, Following advice on here I went back to the store with the ticket/letter and receipt for the goods purchased that day and they immediately agreed to email the parking company involved and cancel the ticket on my behalf. Many thanks.

I got a ParkingEye ticket from the car park at Aldi.
As per the Newbies thread, I appealed to ParkingEye and complained to Aldi.
Not surprisingly, ParkingEye rejected my appeal and gave me a POPLA code, but Aldi have agreed to cancel the ticket.

Is there any benefit (i.e. penalty to ParkingEye) to following through with the POPLA appeal?
Also, would I expect to hear from ParkingEye that it has been cancelled? I haven't yet after about a week.

Check PE's website and go as to pay the ticket - you will get its current status. PE are usually efficient at notifying cancellations - 7 to 10 days.

Only go to POPLA if you're nearing its deadline and PE have not cancelled. If they have cancelled, yet you still appeal to POPLA, PE will simply withdraw - no hassle for them, no cost to them. Pointless exercise.

Do you have Aldi's agreement to cancellation in writing?
