I've been with Green Star for over a year now and have been happy with the price and service. On a fixed tariff for just the electric (no gas here)
There was a problem setting up the initial DD's but when I rang them to sort it out it was so refreshing to be able to quickly speak to a sensible person. No waiting on hold for 45 minutes to then speak to someone who doesn't give a damn or who has English as a second language or both.It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Have just initiated a switch from Extra Energy to Green Star. I hope it goes well, will keep you posted.“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

Not heard anything yet, wonder how long I'll need to wait. Can anyone advise?“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

I had my confirmation switch email 24hrs after I signed up stating my electricity & gas account numbers as well.
Maybe yours went in the spam folder?0 -
Thanks Liv (if you don't mind the nickname). My spam folder only went back as far as 22 August and when I phoned this afternoon, the young lady resent my welcome pack (which had been sent to me on 21 August) and it went straight into my spam folder! Sorted that by telling Outlook never to spam that domain.
Green Star gets the green light from me so far!“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

I had recently contacted them about changing my gas meter. I tried calling them at various times, both from my office as well as home. Every time, they put me on hold and cut me off exactly after 3 mins. That three mins sound dodgy to me.
Then I emailed them about the issue and I have been waiting for nearly a week now and has not replied.
Appalled by it to be honest; should have paid the extra few quid to stay with first-utility.0 -
Switched to them 2 months ago. Just found out that they haven't bothered to switch the gas over, just the electric. Emailed them as no one answers the phone 12 days ago and still no answer. Tried phoning again and still no answer. Pathetic service-I don't reccommend.0

I have been a customer of Greenstar Energy for nearly two years, and suddenly I can't get replies to two questions. I have sent emails and left messages on their answerphone since 13th May. I did once receive an automated response saying that due to heavy traffic there may be a "slight delay" in answering emails. That was about three weeks ago. I recently received my bill from them, but strangely, instead of covering the last quarter as was usual, it was for the last 20 months, which rather threw me. I am now going to cancel my Direct Debit in the hope that it might induce someone there to make contact.0

If you are getting no replies to emails or can't reach them, post something on their facebook page.
I did this morning and four minutes later they replied to my email and had sorted my problem out.

Oh no! I hope I've not jumped from Extra Energy into another supplier with the same issues!
Having said that, if they are responding via Facebook (I don't use that) it is remotely possible they have "done a TNT" and put in a new telephony system which has problems. (I have been having trouble contacting TNT recently, but their excellent chap who collects from us gave me his mobile number and told me to call him when I need a collection. I call that customer service.)“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”
