Any more feedback from those who have switched, their prices look good and only a small amount dearer for the 2 year than NPower's 1 year fix, a route I certainly do not fancy.

I'm happy so far, the gas is on, they emailed me to ask for a reading for my first quarter bill, I just replied by email with the figure, so bill should be this week. They have been taking the monthly DD as agreed. No more to say really. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

We need more of these smaller suppliers as long as they can provide a better customer service than the big six so I wish them, and yourself, well. Please keep us posted.

Re:Greenstar Energy aka Hudson Energy.
My switch went okay but since then they have been unable to set up my direct debit. It's been over 2 months so far and not one DD has been collected despite them telling me that they will set it up for next month (May) and then asking me if they could move the DD date to a different day than I wanted. I chose the DD payment day for a reason, so it fits with my income and other DD's. They missed the first DD, apologised and told me that they would arrange it for the next month, May. This came and went and no DD. I have had to make a card payment to cover aprils payment and it looks like I will have to do the same for May's payment.
It's like babysitting an infant! Having to constantly watch my bank account for their DD and react to their incompetence to manage a simple payment. Chasing things up, making calls and nothing happening except for it occupying a fair bit of my time and attention.
I asked them whether they had ever done this before? :rotfl:
It looks like teething problems. Babies yet again!0 -

Just in the middle of my switch to Green Star Energy from NPower and so far I can say their customer service is a damn sight better than NPower or Scottish Gas.
I am switching through MSE energy club and despite expecting a wait for seven days to get confirmation of registration, I had confirmation in 24 hours and had the same account numbers for gas and electricity. Then after the scare-mongering email from NPower which suggested that I had just requested to move gas, I got straight through to Green Star to confirm they had the right details for gas and electricity. They rung me back the next day to confirm that I will be moving and NPower were full of bull again.
My switch date is 4th July. Since a couple of days after the bull I got a patronising email from NPower saying "we're sorry you would like to leave us as electricity suppliers, then basically said, but you cannot until you pay up. Then register again your electricity with your chosen supplier." When it's the first time they've mentioned electricity. I haven't contacted Green Star again, as I have had date confirmed, I do not want to waste their time. It would have been much less infuriating if NPower just asked for payment to be settled, not talk to me like a sulky six year old.
In summary, so far, Green Star good, done everything I have asked them. Steer clear of NPower and do not touch them with a barge pole. I will update as the transfer continues.0
