McDonalds didn't think the pancake supplier was using free range eggs as they claimed, so they were pulled from the menu.
They're on their way back now though.0 -

It would be awful if you posted speculative information about McDonald's production methods in a dissembling manner.
So, what do you think happens?

Years ago they used to make them by hand (I remember doing that) but now they are frozen, defrosted and microwaved.0

As OP mentions, they definately used to be made by hand (grill). Honestly0 -
By grill do you mean on one of the flat griddles? because i'm just getting images of your typical McDonalds oik pouring pancake mixture into the grill and wondering why it's falling through the rack.0

For the record my local McDonalds sell pancakes.
