A warning on Tesco Clubcard points and vouchers - 'expired' vouchers policy change

That, plus the number of staff there who also shop at Aldi!
You seriously know which of Tesco's staff shop at Aldi?! I shop at Tesco regularly, but with very few exceptions, wouldn't recognise any of them if I saw them elsewhere.
You really do seem to take a lot of interest in Tesco, considering how much you say you hate them.0 -
Seriously, yes, because I do talk to people on the odd occasion that I go in there to pay in cheques, use the toilets, buy a paper, whatever, and the conversation often turns to Aldi (it's not an unusual topic, because it's almost next door and taking away a lot of their trade). You seriously know which of Tesco's staff shop at Aldi?! What surprises me is the number of staff openly admitting that they shop in Aldi because, as someone put it, they can't afford Tesco prices. One of them even mentioned the fruit and veg (and this did surprise me, because I don't agree with it) as being superior in quality to Tesco's!
I do take an interest in Tesco, yes - but primarily as an ex shareholder. I take a similar interest in M&S, and I'm sorry to see that business making many of the mistakes that Tesco made - primarily taking customers for granted. M&S are heading the same way as Tesco. Retail has moved on, but these juggernauts have taken too long to notice.0 -
To update the last post; Tesco have now withdrawn this policy, though some online staff don't seem to know but they will eventually agree, you have to send the voucher in but it will be renewed0

I have just phoned them because I found a voucher for £30 that expired in May - the young lady politely told me she was unable to add the voucher to my account - she would if she could but the system wont allow her to.0

Hi guys,
I somehow joined the Tesco Xmas scheme and have my vouchers sent on November with a 2 years expiry date. But I was wondering, if I remove myself from that scheme to have the vouchers sent every 3 months, do you know what's the expiry date in that case: 2 years as well or much shorter?
Cheers!0 -
Today...regarding my expired vouchers...
"We generally do not honour expired Clubcard vouchers because we believe two years is a reasonable length of time in which to use them. On this occasion I'm happy to honour these vouchers as a gesture of good will. I can either credit the value in points to your Clubcard account and you will receive them included in your November statement or I can send you an ecoupon that you can apply to a Grocery order.
Kind regards,
Clubcard Customer Services"0
