The OP can't open a case till 1pm Wed, even then the buyer can delay payment a bit longer, not everyone pays as soon as the auction ends.
but they have listed the item that they have not paid for or have in their possession. Ebays rules are to pay for any win auction within 3 days. if a seller has the auction assistant enabled then on day 4 the assistant will automatically set in motion a NPB claim. this then sometimes forces the buyer to pay.
I cant see why anyone will place a last minute winning bid or even click to buy a BIN item and then not pay straight away.0 -

So the buyer still has plenty of time to pay then (3days / 4days?) not sure what all the fuss is about. It will probably turn out that he has a spare in hand that he is selling. Until the OP gives all the facts we will not know for sure.
Must go now its home-time.0 -

If you have a brand new item why buy another one exactly the same and list the one you already have? Doesn't make any sense.
The fuss is over the fact that the seller is selling an item they've yet to pay for and the fact they appear to be waiting for a sale and payment of it before paying the OP and, we assume, asking the OP to send the item to their buyer. Going by ebay rules that isn't allowed as you can not sell an item you do not have in hand.0 -
Maybe their partner bought one from a shop on the same day he bought one on eBay.Flyonthewall wrote: »If you have a brand new item why buy another one exactly the same and list the one you already have? Doesn't make any sense.
So he's selling the one bought from the shop (not convenient / allowed to return it to the shop) on eBay.
Unlikely, but we don't know...0 -

Then why not just ask for a mutual cancelation considering the buyer is yet to pay? Plus, the OP stated ink cartridge. Unless he's planning on using just one more cartridge and then getting a completely different printer they may as well keep both.
Although as it is new and sealed I don't see why a shop would refuse to take it back just hours later.
Also, sounds like he buys them and resells them fairly often. Least that's what I took from the OP:I have since (by being nosy and looking at his feedback/items for sale), found that he buys then sells them on at a higher price.0 -
Oh, I agree it looks highly likely that he is buying them to sell on. But it might be some strange set of circumstances that means he has got one to sell.Flyonthewall wrote: »Then why not...
More relevantly, as long as this guy pays in the end, the OP hasn't lost out.0 -

so why sell the one purchased at the high street store and then wait for one you have bid on ebay but cant be bothered to pay for. Its an ink Cartridge which i dare say you will use several a year, so i would not return or sell on, i would just pay and keep them as i know i will use them.0 -
The OP should find out what the "buyer" is doing that enables him to still make a profit after an extra 13.4% of fees.0

Well he's got no postage/packing/travel costs, no handling or storage costs and I'd imagine no staff costs either if he's dropshipping everything. Even if the profit is only very small it's still a profit on doing practically nothing.
Even if he does have some items instock he's still doing the dropshipping as well making costs lower than if he had all the items he sells.0
