buyer relisted item I sold but hasn't paid me!

The buyer can add the new buyers address as a "Gift Address" in Paypal, you will still be protected. You will not know whether it is his address or not.
Just been reading this thread and this post made me think. If the OP sends the item (assuming the buyer pays) with an invoice they may find out.
Assuming the buyer is bascially dropshipping the other buyer surely wouldn't be too pleased at finding the invoice. I know there's nothing wrong with buying low, selling high or dropshipping when done properly, but (especially with how ebay is now) I can imagine a lot of buyers would give bad feedback if they found a seller dropshipping in this way.
If the buyer makes a point of telling the OP not to include an invoice I'd also say that would be a pretty clear sign that they are doing that.0 -
this would make no difference, they can ask you not too, but it is upto you if you include an invoice.Flyonthewall wrote: »

Obviously. I said if they ask you not to, I never said that meant they couldn't include one.
If the buyer doesn't want an invoice though, regardless of whether the OP does send one, it's still a pretty clear sign that they're dropshipping.0 -
Why cause trouble for the buyer/dropshipper though? its not as if they're doing anything wrong as long as he pays within Ebay rules (waits for the "but he's a business" brigade).
Maybe the OP listed the item badly (wrong cat/finishing time) and this why there is some money to be made.0 -

It's not a professional way to run a business. The buyer is causing the seller to wait for payment and their buyer is actually relying on numerous other sellers to get their item.
Plus as a buyer I wouldn't be impressed if I found out the item I wanted was one I would have bought cheaper direct from the seller I am getting it from anyway just because someone else decided to click buy on all cheaper items and not do half the work of selling just to make a couple of quid.
It's not like the seller's sourcing wholesale/dropshipping goods cheaply and selling on, they're buying items from the competition and raising prices for the buyers who aren't lucky enough to manage to buy first.0 -
Sounds more like sour grapes to me. Second buyer is obviously willing to pay the price so whats the problem? buyers have a time-frame in which to pay.0

For a fiver I would buy the item just to see where they ask you to send yours.
You could then really have some fun with refusing to sign for it, claiming a non delivery dispute .Be happy...;)0 -

The problem is they should have been able to buy it at the cheaper price from the person they're actually getting the item from. Just because they were forced to buy higher doesn't mean they wanted to - they may just really need the item.
If they keep buying all the cheaper ones then buyers are having to pay more than they should just because that buyer/seller gets there first. With it being a business I'd guess they're watching the items a lot for any newly listed ones.0 -
The only thing the buyer's doing wrong is reselling on the same account. I do this all the time, and have it done to me (what I sell is more valuable if you can make a set and often I have say 2 pieces out of 3 and order the 3rd from another seller). Don't see the issue at all. (I always say it's a gift to the other seller so pls don't put in an invoice). They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

Well that's what some retailers do. Others don't. Like new car dealers (who will happily sell you a car that hasn't even been manufactured yet) , double glazing companies, or even dropshippers on eBay; it's not exactly uncommon.0
