  • just joined in the last few weeks, but would love to have a go at this - count me in!! (already got patches and lozenges at the ready)
  • Did take me a while to work out what you were on a bout. Might be worth sticking something in the original post to make it clearer?

Or maybe as a non smoker I'm not observant to what Stoptober is....

    Good luck everyone

Getting my life straight, you're in as of now!

Sorry takeaway addict, I assumed with the TV adverts currently, many who it applies to would be aware. :o

I'm in - I've got better things to do with that money! £200/month adds up to a pretty amazing holiday pot for next summer. I've sent off for a pack and got my Allen Carr book at the ready. I was doing great in February and enjoying the feeling of my lungs opening up after a few days, but then my bio-mother died and it all went pearshaped. Time to do it again and break the routines - walk a different way to the station etc. I find the physical cravings are bearable - I just surf the wave for 10 minutes or so until it dies down - but the mental side is harder (for me at least).

  • Hiya. I'm giving up using e cigs instead of gum. People have different views on this so don't know if I'm allowed into this challenge? But I'm on day six of quitting (and no I'm not gonna start again to quit on first lol).

I had lots of side effects from quitting this week, and still have the association problem , in that first thought in response to everything is a fag will sort it, but it going fabulously, and I am feeling great. I hope to stop using the e cig within twelve months but it has made it so much easier.

I've had no money for soooo long that I am gonna love this. For the first three months, I am gonna FRITTER the money away. Ya hear me, I said I'm gonna FRITTER MONEY AWAY:rotfl::rotfl: and gonna love every minute of it, because I can. Then I will use it in a constructive useful manner haha ,
  • hey bess1234 - I also quit using e-cigs but it's been over a month now and no cigarette has crossed my lips and I am now on the nicotine free e-liquids so just water vapour for me!

It's a controversial method but my goodness - it's the only thing that stopped me straight outright! Now i vape cherry cola vapour mmmmm! much tastier than a roll-up!!!! :)

I had a horrible few headaches the first week but my face looks better than it has for years after a month!!

    Good luck!!

  • Wow that was fast. I hope to be pretending to e cig within six months using water vapour and smells lol. But a month is good going. I have the bad headaches too so I'm wondering if I'm on too high nicotine strength. It feels like when I had a very strong patch on a few years ago. But the thought of a fag is nauseating , so it's working in a weird way. Like I've smoked too much.

£25 a week. What will I do. :j:j:j some on the gym, as I'm feeling the high from it. Maybe an overpriced coffee shop, and a piece of cake! I quite fancy a new jumper. Maybe a whim
