Hi all, I am sitting at a bus stop drunk as a skunk, and can honestly say that since Sunday I haven't smoked one. I determined to do it this time.

  • Hello, too tired to say much.

Try Roses' lime juice cordial with chilled water/icecubes. It feels orally cleansing, plus gives the "pucker up" effect to put you off smoking.

Instead of thinking you're giving, try thinking you're deferring - you are still a smoker, you just choose not to smoke at this particular time.

    These helped me anyway.

Exactly my point earlier. Examine your mindset. It's the most important thing in helping you quit. Why do you need to occupy yourself through the adverts? Why do you need to be distracted to help you stop something you must surely hate doing?

I don't mean to sound harsh but what you're doing is making excuses for having the odd one because you're too scared to give up completely yet. You're not in the right place and you will inevitably fail. You won't give up, not for October or ever until you change your way of thinking.

You smoked cause you were home alone and also struggle to not smoke because of what's on TV....and you'll prove me wrong? What you gonna do if something that's not everyday life happens?
