My morning so far:- 7.30 am son shouts mum listen there's a cat under the house. I called cats and sure enough I heard a faint meow. Checks cats, only 2 out of 3 accounted for. House has a massive space underneath floor but sealed, so went outside to look where cat (Mika) could have got in. Saw a small gap and realised if she had dug down and under she might not be able to get out. An hour later hole made bigger and flashlight in hand I happen to glance up to conservatory to see Mika sat looking at me wondering what I am doing.
The meowing we heard was my daft ragdoll cat sat in bedroom window above conservatory answering my son everytime he called cats.Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away. – Hilary Cooper

Kitchen bits done:
Apples from tree peeled, chopped and made into pan-shaped mushI'll do muffins later and freeze the rest - for cakes. I do a nice spiced apple and sultana cake mmm
Fridge checked, mince needs using, really can't be bothered faffing with lots of pans so settled on a meatloaf - looked for a slow cooker recipe and just mixed it all in the sc itself so that will do for tomorrow. Tonight we are at a friends for tea.
Compost caddy emptied and bin taken out.
Work tops cleared and wiped. Toaster shaken out and wiped.
Laundry collected, will strip the beds tomorrow as kiddies going to inlaws so will have a little time to myself :T
Just spoke to MIL, to see what time tomorrow. Seems DH cousin, who was recently diagnosed with the big C has been given a 50:50 chanceits so carp. I feel really annoyed. She's only in her mid 30s. Not that there's ever a good time. They haven't managed to start chemo yet as she needed a transfusion first. And apparently they can't operate - not the greatest news.
On a positive note, DS has asked several times if we can go to school yet! He's decided he won't need to cry today, if he can take a morrisons let's grow voucher for his teacher, and if she will come and wave at the window with himbless him. He's even asked if he's going to the (after school) club! Hoping its a little breakthrough. Suppose I ought to go get him changed...

Hi all
Jo if you do the collection for Toot's family/flowers and I'll set up a page with Virgin Giving for the Macmillan Coffee morning in her memory. People can then give to either or both if they wish.
The adverts are saying that the 27th September will be the world's largest coffee morning, so can I tentatively suggest this date?
I will try to sneak on from the paid stuff (like I am now).
The brilliant thing about a virtual coffee morning is that you can eat a whole cake without the weight gain

Morning all.
Had a day of chasing after mum and mum in law yesterday, MIL has pleurisy (again) and has refused to be admitted to hospital (again), so achieved nothing for me but they both have full fridges!
Bathroom done this morning , shower cabinet scrubbed whilst in there! Have made DDs bed which has been airing since she went away, hoovered and dusted in there the other day. DS was [STRIKE]ordered[/STRIKE] asked nicely last night to get his room sorted today or I will be going in with the binbags.......the only thing in his wardrobe currently is his father's kilt, and the normally black carpet is currently the colour of denim, hoodie, t-shirts....you get the picture!
Need to do a run to the dump with some carp, pop in on MIL to make sure she has stayed in as its piddling down, and will meet myself coming back this afternoon for a snooze hopefully, have been wide awake since 3am and my head is starting to thump. Hopefully its tiredness and not a migraine starting!!!RIP Iain

SarahShattered wrote: »Piggers Do you remember when you asked us all to tell Toots something lovely about herself? It was to do with writing a list of nice things about oneself I think. But Toots couldn't think of anything. The posts and posts of things she'd done or said that showed us all just how special she was made me sob and sob.
You're right though, she wouldn't know how much she impacted us. :A
I'd forgotten about that.. we should find it and print it and put it in a card for her to take with her.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
