There are soooo many posts I want to reply to... but cant think of them all right now... will have to read the thread again :rotfl:

But lynsayjane... since your post is right there - my friend rents out her house. She set up a separate account and the tenant/agency pay the money into there. She arranged for the mortgage amount to be transferred to her current account, leaving the surplus behind which never gets touched (unless its for the maintenance of that property). HTH xx

    Good evening all xx

Didn't get as much done this evening as I wanted and there are still clothes all over the place!!!!

Dog is on antibiotics for his arthritis and needs to be castrated due to a tumour!!! Don't think he'll like me for a while afterwards!!!

B'fast club in the morning, then taking Mum to the doctors, then drop her back at work and on with the lists...............

Hope all are well and love and hugs to all in need xx
  • Hi all

Pigpen Your DD's friend's baby is in my thoughts
Jo Thank you for the stars
Bossy glad Master Moo is getting to grips with school

    If it's gone it's done
Wednesday - In memory of our dear friend Toots
    15 minutes ......

    30 minutes to spare........
    Got an hour .........

    Thursday - Bathroom and study
    15 minutes...

    30 minutes to spare..
    Got an hour...
    Hoover/mop floor
Descale the shower or bath screen/tiles
Dust up high, being careful not to injury yourself

    Extra challenge:
Check doors for draughts and fix as required
Check renewal dates for Driving License/home insurance/passports/MoT/tax etc
    - MOT being done next week and then the car tax is due

Washing taken off indoor line & folded in the ironing basket
2 pairs of trousers taken up
    kitchen s&s
    Dailies done
    2 levels of candy crushed

Been a bit tearful these last few days, Toot's passing made me think of my own loss and I realised OH would have been 40 next week. The adverts for Macmillan coffee morning make me tearful. I'm sorry I feel selfish when so many are feeling raw with the loss of Toots.

So I need to do something positive ...

Maybe we could do a virtual coffee/tea event in aid of Macmillan or a charity that was close to Toot's heart. What we would have paid for a cuppa and a cake at starbocks or cost a lot. Or what we would have spent on ingredients to bake a cake we donate to that charity. Most charities have the ability to donate online.

It could be an all day thing for those who work full time, have commitments during the day etc

    It's just a thought.

Deco have a hug, you sound like you need it. Grief is a long road to travel and just because you started the journey a while ago doesn't mean you can't find a big bump in the road. Loosing Toots has brought back loosing my Grandma, Toots was so kind to me when she passed and they would have liked each other.

    Ironing done

Off to do the list, I'll try to make it achievable for you star gatherers.

I don't think Toots realised for one second how much of an impact she had on our lives.. I wish she could see. A macmillan coffee morning sounds a fabulous idea in memory of Toots and all our loved ones who have passed.

Finally, first stars list of the week (On a Thursday??! That's just shocking :) )

Woohoo well done you have done Toots proud :D:T:D:T:D

decogecko have a *hug* toots would not want to have caused you any upset so smile and think about the good times you had with your OH, I'm sorry for your loss. Perhaps you can do something to celebrate the time you had together next week?

What a fantastic idea, I'm sure loads of people would like to join a virtual coffee morning :)

I have been in contact with toots family and asked if they are having a collection for charity so perhaps we can link in with that? I will advise when I get a response. I have told them of the love and support that has been posted in the last few days too.

    *crawls in*

Chaotic day, in and out lots around paid stuff. Off to school this evening (DD panicking we wouldn't be there on time, we got there with 25 minutes to spare and that was walking slow!!), sat through an hour long award ceremony where DD got two awards for Music & Science :D:j Came home and I've basically caught up here while I had a drink and now I'm off to bed :o No flying, just lots of shopping and travelling on buses. Tomorrow I will be flying like mad as my entire house is a hotspot and the laundry is breeding! :o:o

    Catch you all tomorrow

What a lovely idea. I have fond memories of my Mum's Macmillan nurse, Chrissie, who was a great support to me before my Mum died.

pigpen, I'm sorry to hear plans have changed for Poppy, I hope she's strong enough for surgery very soon.

Working this morning, then have to buy dinner for tonight; only me, DH, DD and DSS -- he'll eat pizza so the three of us can have something a bit more adventurous than the normal fayre I have to churn out when the step kids are here. Still irked by their picky habits.

Off to look through the bits I have missed from MTWT and see what today holds in store…
