    Evening all

Lovely to see so many of you here today, I'm sure lots of us have struggled in our own ways, my mind has been with Toots a lot. That is good though, like a hand on my shoulder.

Just need to read to DS2 and get him to bed then I'll do the list and wash up, very tired tonight.

Thanks FizzWhizz, I've calmed down now I think I was just needing some food. I've not got the hang of the gas oven yet though and the cake burnt on the outside :( It did rise beautifully though with a lovely centre, so I know I've perfected the recipe/mixing. I think the oven was probably too high and the tins were touching the edges :(

  • Lovely to see so many old friends posting. You have all been missed x

It seems a fitting tribute to Toots that, even though she is no longer here, she is still able to pull us all together, throw a mule or two, provide laughter and tears, help renew old friendships and initiate new ones.

  • Hi all

    Gentle hugs for all

kerri my friend changed her surname to her OH's when she was pregnant - not sure if this would be something to consider?

My Toots List has been updated - although I am noticing other things as I go in each room!
I'm waiting to see if my friend is free for a chat and hope to catch up with her tonight.

    Tonight I've

Dusted & hettyed landing and BR
    HHI
WM on & clothes hung on indoor line

Long haired cat has come in with cat poop on his leg and tail. I've tried to clean it off but I'm being sworn at (he's normally very placid like Dylan the rabbit from the magic roundabout). Will make a second attempt shortly.

Can't fly - only just got in but I have updated my bank account (which is an ongoing Toots list job for me) so that's something. Now I'm working Wed/Thurs?Fri and in a different way flying will have to take a back seat for me for the near future. I am very sorry to say, though, it won't keep me off the thread - I will, at least (though goodnessknows whhen) be doing my 'bare minimum' list which is

    Washing
    ironing
    cleaning the bathroom
    cleaning the kitchen.

Dust I can live with - mucky kitchens and bathrooms I cannot;)
Please bear in mind I cannot bear to have an ironing mountain too.

Lovely to see so may old faces - and love the Toots avatar, too, FFP and crafty...

One of Toots (her very own) toots list jobs was 'do a Valli' on her PC - which meant open it up and clean it out - everytime I do it now I think of her...

    FizzWhizz - that looks tasty.

kerri - When DD was born, ex and I couldn't agree on a surname either (we were engaged but never married) so we opted for making hers a double-barrelled name in alphabetical order when we went to register her. Just so happens my surname comes before his ;):rotfl: I did ask if she wanted to change it, but she loves the uniqueness and will happily answer to either surname if hospitals/teachers etc get it wrong!

Kaz - I'm over on ravelry although I tend only to go when I need to look up a pattern ;) Couldn't tell you my username though :o:rotfl:

rosyq - Thats not a big list really, I actually have a ringbinder with mine in! I have it divided into rooms and some of those jobs have been there since before my ex moved out in early 2008 ;):rotfl: I just seem to keep adding to it :o

I have paid stuff to do, but I think I'll do it in the morning while I wait for my buspass to become valid (can't use it before 9.30am) as it shouldn't take long and I can double check the stuff before I send my order in. I got so confused doing it today I need to look it over with fresh eyes :o So instead I'm going to write my shopping lists for tomorrow so I don't forget anything hopefully. I have a couple of different shopping areas I want to hit so I'll do a sticky-note page an area and come home in between ;) Will update my list at some point tomorrow. Paid stuff, errands and then school for 7pm are definites. Will need to text ex at some point to find out whats happening as far as him getting there etc.

  • Evening all. Kerri - we aren't planning to get married, and even if we did, I wouldn't change my surname! Our baby is going to have a double-barrelled name so we both have the same name as the baby. We haven't quite agreed on a first and middle name yet, but the surname is all set
    March 2016 - £178,914.59; July 2017 £146,160.38
Mortgage end Sept 2043; Target - pay off by March 2022, now Sept 2021
    Target balance July 2018 £112,560
  • Feeling very rough after a very poor night's sleep. Heading off to bed ina minute - I'm hopeful of a better night.

Won't be around for a bit - doing emergency trip to mum's tomorrow, staying overnight and heading back in time to get to work on Friday! Would rather not - I feel dodgy myself, but needs must.

DH has scan tomorrow morning on arm injury. If surgery follows he won't be able to use the arm at all for 3 weeks.

Strangely enough my sister's husband is in plaster after breaking his wrist motorbike racing. We think it's a conspiracy to avoid helping with mum's move!
