The online application for TSB Enhance asks how many Current Accounts you have with other banks. I've more than 4, including 3 with Lloyds - is there any point in continuing the application?

I had 11 when I applied, got accepted and so now have 12 :)

So yes, definitely a point in continuing the application.

I said 8 when applying in branch for 3 in one go and they just keyed it in, so now I've got 11 :)

I opened a second TSB Classic account recently (and max Vants). When I tried to upgrade to a Enhance account, yesterday, it kept saying there was an error and the service couldn't be offered at present. Just wondering whether this is all linked?

Quick question for anyone who has opened a TSB Enhance account. I have just opened one and funded it with £5000. One of the conditions of the account is that you have to have a balance greater than zero for the monthly billing period. Since I opened mine part way through the month does this mean I won't get any interest for November?

I opened one near the end of last month and received a small interest payment for that month.

That's the same condition with Lloyds Vantage and Bos Vantage, but when I enquired way back they told me it actually means not below zero. Interest has always been paid to my accounts even if zero balance for most of the month.
  • Has anyone applying online for a second TSB classic been successful. Looking at their web site it states you have to agree you do not already have a current account with them.

For a second or third account its better (easier and more likely to be accepted) to just ring up or visit a branch.

I opened 6 online - 3 in my name and 3 in Mrs's name. Once the 1st one showed up online I applied for the 2nd, which showed up a few days later, then I repeated for the 3rd. For both applications I stated I/Mrs was not working and already had 4 current accounts elsewhere. Also didn't request debit cards or overdraft. Very easy.
