    HI HM,

    so you have coming in

    £86.00 per week wages
    £79.00 per month child benefit
    £43.00 per mionth tax credits

    TOTAL £494.00

    you pay out

£50.00 on 2 CC's (is that on each CC or between 2 CC's). per month
    £36.00 loan per month
    £36.00 loan per month
    £40.00 nursery fees per month
£40.00 wipes and nappies a month
£40.00 for clothes and shoes for your daughter per month

    TOTAL £242.00

leaves you with £252.00 per month (I dont think that is too bad)

Correct me if my calculations are wrong.

I know your hubby is tight, and he does not seem to interact with you and your daughter its seems like its you and your daughter and he's on his own. I know you work your butt off to pay the debt that was for both your wedding and he should be paying half if not all of it.(he should pay all I think). At least you will have the satisfaction of making your last payments and telling him YOU paid it off.

Hi HM, I read your previous thread at the time and am glad to see your back and sound even stronger!

I can't believe your husband is being so mean though!

And amani he is being mean, he might be paying most of the bills but HM obviously needs more money or she wouldn't be asking him for it and when someone asks you for money, just shrugging your shoulders and not helping them is horrible. I can't believe he won't even talk to you about it!

Based on the figures you gave he has income of £2707 and outgoings of £1858.22 that leaves £848.78 spending money, which is a huge difference to your £242 and by the sounds of it you use your spare money for the family, buyings things for the house and throwing a party for your daughter whilst your husband just adds his to his pile of savings, it's completely selfish!

  • Hi All

    My incomings:

    Wages: 86 a week (86 x 4 = 344)
    Child Benefit: 79 a month
    Tax Credit: 43 a month

    Total: 466

    Outgoings:

    CC1: 50
    CC2:50
    Loan1:36
    Loan2:36
Taxi fares (because my last bus is 10.30 i work till 10.30 so i have to get a taxi as its 5 miles and there are no path ways to walk home- i live in the back of beyond) taxi fares are 15 pounds a week
    Nappies & wipes 40 a month
    Essential items-(ie bread, milk) 10 a week
    Nursery Fees: 40 a month
    Clothes&shoes: 40
    Outings during the week: 10
    Bus fares during the week:10

    Total: 382

This leaves me with 84 pounds a month for myself- mostly that goes towards servicing my debts- so i end up making payments of around 90 a month to the CC's.
Now im debt free i want to be fat free too!

    Hi,

Re the nappies, £40pm is a lot. Which ones do you use? Have you got a sainsburys near you? Their nappies are great! Also, I use cotton wool & own branded baby lotion for wet nappies and wipes only for "yucky" ones and a flannel for wiping mucky hands/faces if home. This saves me a fortune.

  • Hi

I use Boots own brand ones, but because DD pees for England i go through nappies like a dose of salts- the boots own brand ones are just short of 8 pounds for the biggest bag, then the boots wipes, which are always bogof- and they are 1.99 so its about a tenner a week. TBH the wipes i use for everything- including on myself to take make-up off so they i tend to buy more wipes, but the nappy thing should be short lived now because i started potty training this week, and dd has been (touch wood!) getting the hang of it quite quickly- so she should be out of nappies during the day altogether in a few weeks- so that will save me some!

It seems my talking to him about spending more time with dd has worked though- he rang me up from work to ask me not to bath her because he was going to take her out to the park for an hour, so i could have some time to myself!

HI HM, I worked out your wages by £86.00 x 52 weeks and divide by 12 months thats why I came up with the higher figure for the month.
  • Hi HM

I would also feel like walking out. But thinking ahead to the longer term, do you think you would ever see yourself leaving him but being prepared to take him back? Or if it got to the stage of leaving him would it be well and truly over?
If you think you wouldn't take him back if it got to that stage then please don't think about this too much in case it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy - at least not until the debts are paid and you are free of this load of stress. That would be a safer time to reappraise calmly for your daughter's sake
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!
