  • I will now interrupt for the hard of reading.

OP overpaid for her goods at the Emporium. One weak later she is still upset.

Please be careful, children were indelibly harmed during this incident
  • I've recently started going to Waitrose occasionally since one opened not too far away.

Yes its further to travel and probably more expensive but..

Free quality coffee, free newspaper, not as busy as Tesco, nice staff and most important a different class of customer!

I am not a fan of Tesco to be honest. I find their staff some of the unfriendliest (after Lidl and Aldi.) Lidl and Aldi staff are are VERY rude. Rarely acknowledge you, don't offer to pack, just say '£28.50 please,' (or however much you spend,) without any eye contact or anything.

But yes, Tesco are not the cheeriest staff and they give me the impression that you are inconveniencing them when they serve you. Plus they get really funny if you want a refund for anything. Asda and Sainsburys and Morrisons are waaaaay friendlier and nicer. I rarely go to Tesco.

If course the OP is upset for being treated like garbage whilst agreeing to pay their advertised prices.

Then having to go through all that hassle when they argue against their own policy that was set well above their pay grade.

You need to speak to customer services either by letter or phone.

They especially helpful on their facebook page if you have access to that. Keep your receipts etc and date and time of the incident,

You should not have to argue to get your own money back.

I hope the wee one was not too upset :)

It's true what they say: Waitrose are great - they keep the riff-raff out of M&S.

I was taking his forum name literally.

I don't think he's goater. Goater was ppr'd but it was only temporary.

    (Just checked)

He still looks in but doesn't seem to post (although he's not marked 'ppr').

Yep sorry its not me, I wouldn't come back under a different name as thats a bit weird!

I was temporary suspended due to a complaint by Unholyangel but I am no longer banned. However I am on the naughty step and unfortunately have to be careful what I post so don't post as much anymore. Its good to know i'm missed :)
