PPI Party Pooper Debt-free and Proud!
Your diary moves so quickly lol. Yay to new fence though and hopefully doggie next door is happier. Mine are spoilt rotten but have been known to run around howling and barking just after I go out. Luckily my neighbours love them :)

Pita pizza sounds fab - will also have to try it.

Just wanted to say you are really organised with your savings pots and doing really well now that you are debt free. I hope you manage to get your dream home sooner rather than later.
  • Pita pizzas remind me of being a kid! Mum always made them like that so everyone could have the toppings they wanted. She also did cheesy catherine wheels whereby you spread a slice of bread with a little butter and grated cheese then roll it up like a swiss roll and cut it into rounds before toasting it. We were poor but she was inventive and it's only now I realise it was just to make cheap food a bit more fun!! Xx

  • Doctors appointments have been booked after I got several reminders about having a smear :( I hate them but know I need one so have booked in!

Yeah, they're not great, but at least its a booked appointment. I'm still not sure if I'm happy or sad about being 'ambushed' for my last one.

I'd had a Dr's appointment for a chest infection and had noted on the Practice website that the Dr. I was seeing had a specialty in OB/GYN, even though he was a bloke. I asked him about when my next test was due and he just said book in. I thought nothing about it until I went back to the Dr's since my chest infection wouldn't go away. The next Dr. (female this time) - read my file and there must have been a notation of my comments to the previous one and then said "are you bleeding at the moment". Immediately upon my saying "no", her next comment was "OK, up on the table". Talk about having nowhere to run!

At least I didn't have to spend time in advance worrying about it I suppose!
  • Wow DFW, things are looking great in your world lately.:j

New fence, lots of savings, RSPCA apology and checking out next doors doggie again. More money in ISA. You're on a roll :T

Bums to your £10 going walkies in A1di, but hopefully it was to a deserving cause and did'nt just buy 2 litres of cider .

Keep going hun you are doing fab.

Also brilliant that your friend is also moving out of the area. so nice to have common ground with a friend to help get things sorted. Two heads are better than one.

Take care hun, Things are looking brighter x

Thank You LAM :), P.s I trialled the child-minded kids with the pitta pizza last night and it was a big hit! clean plates all round!

:rotfl: I had to laugh. this has happened to me before too :o. Hence why I made the appointment this time as I had to have the asthma review and I just knew they would do it to me like they've done before (and to you too :rotfl:)

DH reckons it was stolen for cider or lager too :rotfl: I hope it wasn't and it was in fact someone who was poor and needed food.

My friend has a house already in the area I want to buy (well 40 miles further north) and wants to sell and buy closer to where I was looking so we will be fighting over similar properties when the time comes. She's fed up of neighbours too so wants remote, no neighbours, no one to bug her :rotfl:

Oh they haven't dropped the matter they are coming out this week to do a thorough home check (their words) and to basically see what is what. A fence went up this morning so I'm assuming they know about the visit. The dog has been kept in since we made the official complaints the other week, well more than usual anyway so i'm happy enough. They've also been walking her a lot more. I can't see behind their closed doors but i'm hoping that she is happier. She has started barking, howling and making an awful noise when left alone just recently, i'd never heard her make a peep until the other week. I think she's bored for sure, I just hope she's not unhappy. I really can't do anything else though:( My welfare & the police have advised us just to keep away from them completely because they are so unreasonable and were basically making my life hell because of their short-comings with the dog. If I thought the dog was being abused or seriously neglected again though I would have to do something, but it seems things have gotten slightly better for her. :)

Good. Glad to hear r$pca have not abandoned their responsibility in this sorry affair.
Re my bold. Snow dogs do NOT like living without companionship. Constant access to their human family will do, or better another dog. So when dog is noisy, she's locked out alone.
Still think this family would be better matched with a different breed of dog.

Was amused to hear something positive about r$pca on last night's news: That they were the only official body to turn up and help flooded Somerset villagers! Had to chuckle at that. :rotfl:

Sorry to hear you had money stolen recently; what a relief it wasn't the larger amount. Karma will take revenge, no doubt. ;)

Re: the dog, I think you're totally right, they would be much better suited to another breed -or none at all, my other neighbour reminded me that when they first moved in they had a beautiful little black kitten that they got rid of a month or so later because it was too much hard work! I'd totally forgotten about this. They are out there now trying to repair the broken fence. It wasn't even up a week and it's been half eaten, I knew it would happen though!

Nice of the r$pca to do something good, so were they just saving the pets and leaving the residents to drown  Will have to have a look in a moment. :rotfl:!

And you have to love karma eh, she's a b1tch when she wants to be ;)
