What I said earlier was my sister had the exact same problem with her MIL bringing her other granddaughter who only lived 5 minutes from her and saw her every day, to her few monthly visits to see my sisters son. Eventually my sister and her other half put it to the MIL that she got enough time with S but never saw my nephew on his own for quality time. She stopped bringing her then as they have cried favourites often enough over visits to lapland for one grandchild and not the other and so on. It isn't fair on your kids... nor is it fair on you. I have to plan carefully to encompass meals and buying food to cover my mum and dad. I would be less than thrilled if I had to stretch that to a fussy 6 year old and find her a bed and all the subsequent issues thereafter. And the preferential treatment... gah. Only grandparents :eyeroll:
Big hugs to youxx
Ah this is exactly the same problem! My MIL actually lives next door to this niece  they live in a cottages that they've split into two (well they are in the process of ) so technically they actually live together at the moment so I think MIL definitely sees enough of DN!!mummytogirls wrote: »Evening DFW,
Glad you're ok after a snooze today!!! I did have to laugh at you saying the staff had to call an ambulance re you having heart attack over DS thanking you :rotfl:. Im glad DS is pleased, bless him choosing the cheaper suit though!!!
I would agree with Lilt as I was thinking the same whilst I was reading. MIL needs to leave [STRIKE]brat[/STRIKE] sorry granddaughter at home as she clearly sees her more than enough and should be spending her time with your children.
Glad she's gone home for now though!!! xxSun_Addict wrote: »That was a weekend and a half for sure! Glad you're now back to normal. Families eh.:rotfl:

Has the forum layout changed or is it because I am now using fire fox that it looks different??
So today I went out for breakfast with a friend, bit of a spur of the moment thing but I felt like treating myself. Also picked up a few bits in £stretcher (cleaning stuff nothing exciting :rotfl:). I didn't get any komono done really today, although I did manage to hoover the house throughout, mop & change beds & I've also done the top shelf of the kids wardrobe. Most of the stuff was to keep, so I took out things that I had forgotten were in there
and moved them to their correct homes
(everything has a home now :T) and got rid of 2 100l bags of "stuff" !! That's been dropped off at the charity shop already
. Tomorrow I will tackle the "craft/knitting/sewing/ paint / erm everything that didn't have a home and has been thrown in there out of the way cupboard" That should be fun. So far I have opened that cupboard 6x at least and just looked at it, sighed and shut it again
. Once it's done all I have left to do is the kitchen and under my bed (which will be my last job as it's all the sentimental kids stuff under there!).
I've started using a new cleaning product and it smells lush hours after having used itit's called z0flora, and if you've never used it you must try it! Lots of yummy smells and I already have 3 different ones after discovering it last month :rotfl:.
So the refund has hit my account, so has my tenancy money & I am still to hear from h^max after asking for a refund  i've emailed them again and will wait to see if they reply by the end of the week....if not i'm not sure what to do, either ring or write a letter will be next I think. And I won't be dropping it either, £170 wasted on a rubbish box that doesn't work!
DS1 has been working hard all week doing his gcse coursework for graphics, he's got his friend who happens to be a girl round to help him........I'm sat in the front room and I don't hear much homework going on  but he was so stressed last week I guess I'll allow him to chill out for one night :rotfl::D.
Hope everyone is ok? I'll try and get round a few diaries now before my bedtime!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Forgot to add I have transferred £200 from the tenancy money to savings for the house, £110 to cover what I borrowed from the emergency to pay for DS1's suit and the rest is staying in my main account for now in case it's needed, if not then I will put it over to savings too.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000.
