    Morning :)

Bit of a change of plan, DS2 woke up at 5am being sick and I don't want to risk my dad getting it even though DS seems to be ok now so I will be staying in this weekend I think! DD & myself also have a sore tummy but nothing else yet so I am wondering if we'll all come down with it before long! Dad was a bit disappointed we couldn't come and I am too after sorting out some money last night to pay for the petrol, I was quite looking forward to seeing him up and out of bed and recovered (well more so than when I last saw him). DS2 is currently sat eating dried cornflakes as we have hardly any food in the house :o it was all I could find that was "dry" food!

I've let my home start family know I can't come to her and a friend took DD to school for me, so we're settled for the day now. I will need to do some shopping at some point though as I need dinners for tonight, tomorrow and Sunday now! Payday is on Monday :j so I can make it through the weekend hopefully on very little money.

This month I managed to pay £50 to the ISA, I could have paid £200 but I naughtily bought myself an ipod (confession time) I've lots of meditation music on cds and had a right nightmare playing them as we've no cd player so I thought of putting them on my phone but my phone won't sync with the computer (something to do with the version not compatible with windows 8- my phone is nearly 2 years old) so I kind of impulsively bought an ipod. :o Anyhow i'm looking forward to playing my music without faffing about when it does come (If i can work out i_tunes as i've never used it before) :D

I'm going to check bank in a mo and reconcile with spreadsheets and try and do budget for next month. I'm really missing my old spreadsheets with spend diary and all the yearly spends laid out, as my memory is so awful i've kind of had to guesstimate a lot of that now until things are due and I can put in proper amounts! Ah well, such is life ;)

I've had a think on the neighbour situation (and for your information if you have similar neighbours, g00gle neighbour+bi polar and some of the results are  scarily similar to my experience!) and although I think there is a high risk of her blowing up again (just this morning she was screaming and shouting at someone?!) I am going to try and get through the next 2 weeks without DH and then we will have to have a chat when he gets back. I'm on avoidance duty until then. I think personally they should move her though, she's already physically threatened me, who's to say when she's having a bad day she won't act out on that threat?! :( Anyway just for today I will not worry :A

  • Neighbour + [possible?] bi-polar. Sounds like my now ex-brother-in-law's excuse about shagging every female he could - he'd been diagnosed as being a 'sex addict'. Yeah, my sister didn't buy it either. Hence, why he's an ex-brother-in-law.

iTunes - Sweetie, if Ms. No-Technical-Ability-At-All (i.e., me) can manage to install it on my computer by myself, you can master it. I know its money spent, but it sounds as if its money well spent. Get that installed, the music transferred over and enjoy listening.

    Hope DS2 feels better soon.

Yes DH thinks it's possibly just an excuse and may not be a real diagnosis? She certainly acts as though she has every possible symptom though

I'm looking forward to the i pod turning up :) the phone is so hard to use atm but it could be because I dropped it so many times and it has so many cracks all over it that this is my problem and not a generic one :o oops. Either way I want to get it asap so I can get all my music on there and use it on the go :D I currently have to do my meditations in the bedroom/living room where the dvd players are, i'd love to be able to go where ever I want and sit in peace :A

    'Morning DFw, :hello:

    Eh? NN has BP? Really?
I've never known a BP person to behave so vindictively during manic episodes. Risk taking with their own life can be expected - are her kids safe while hubby is away? - but the campaign of hate you've told us about suggests something more sinister is going on inside NN's head. Psychosis or a personality disorder would be much more believable.

As for being told "not really your business" - how can Welfare say that when the situation impacts you so badly that you've had to change your plans at short notice in order to avoid conflict with the woman?
And why aren't The Powers That Be moving NN's family, not you - isn't that how this whole rigmarole started; she wants another house?

Hmmph. At least you've got some time with your Dad to look forward to this weekend; hope you manage to put NN out of mind while you're with him, and you all have a wonderful time. :)

Btw, you can tell your DS1 he's got it easy. ;)
At 15, mine [with DSD1] was expected to supervise the littlies about three times a week when they got back from school while I was still out working (so for up to three hours). That didn't mean slouching in the corner while they watched telly; he led every game with unfailing good nature. On those days he and DSD1 would cook dinner from scratch, including washing up afterwards (or organising the others so it got done). He was also entirely in charge of his own laundry.
The only mishap I can remember, is that one rainy day their snooker table - a proper half-size one - got broken; the slate cracked. DS1 explained:
"We were playing ship-wreck. The pool table was their raft and umm, I was a shark! Three of 'em jumped from the sinking ship / sofa at the same time, and... :o"
(My reaction: :rotfl: mixed with relief that no-one was hurt!).

    Enjoy your weekend DFw.

Oh no at the snooker table incident :rotfl: reminded me of the time my friend had a party at her big house whilst her parent's went away...we raided the wine cellar :o, picked a lock to get into dad's games room :o and one of the teenage boys there drove a quad bike into her dad's prized fishing lake :o oops! Oh and the snooker table in the games room was a full size one that had just been relaid (re-felted?? not sure what you call it) ....someone spilt whiskey all over it. I think she might still be grounded now :rotfl::rotfl:

DS1 certainly does have it easier! Although I can say hand on heart this week since DH has been gone he's been great, i've been so tired and run down he's done the DW nearly every night, he's watched the kids on a few occasions on meditation nights and whilst i've had a bath etc, can't complain really as some of his friends are utter nightmares who won't leave their x boxes (probably helps that ds1's broke and i refused to replace it :D)

I'm not going away now but i'll be avoiding her for sure. One of my bi-polar friends has also said exactly the same as you just have....i will try and speak to DH later as he was talking to someone "up top" about it. She's refused a move, probably because she's been told she's in the better quarters already (ours are refurbs) and a move would mean going down a grade in house  I'm crossing fingers that she gets her posting to Cyprus (although would much rather it were me going instead :D)

  • Last spends (hopefully!) of the month: £21.82 on food from Ald1.

End of month tally....Spends this month from 11th June to 27th June:

    Petrol: £55.01
    Food: £228.49
Credit card: £250 (:o ) Balance is £116 though as i've paid off what I could, the rest will be paid on Monday on payday.
Savings for house: £50. Really need to pull my socks up here! Total savings £10,120.44 Would like this to be nearer the £11,000 mark by the end of summer!

There were other spends but they were all accounted for (bills mainly!) I'm £90 short if I want to save £400 next month so I will be trying to cut back on a few areas I think, i'm still expecting my expenses which was nearly £50 too so that can go towards it :)
