We have a red currant bush and it's absolutely huge with hundreds of berries so I picked a load and used some frozen blackberries too and made ice cream! Have yet to test it out on the kids and DH yet so i'll be back with the overall verdict
The ice cream sounds yummy. Lucky you - my freezer (ice box) doesn't work, so I can't buy the tubs. Probably a good thing0 -
Thank you Juvy
JAT the ice cream really is deliciouslike a sorbet rather than ice cream which i prefer!
Well I wrote a post and then lost it as someone knocked on the door and I forgot to come back to it! So today i've been to town and renewed library books, cleaned house, waited in for gas safety inspection and walked the dog. I am out this evening but this afternoon will be spent with kids and just chilling out I think. DH has gone to work and won't be back until mid July now so I guess the upside is they are feeling him and I can save some money on food. I will be spending the next few weeks avoiding NN I think too...!
Still awaiting tenancy money, expenses and have a DD due out tomorrow. Have the money put aside for that so have transferred over this afternoon so I don't go overdrawn.
Not much else to report really, avoiding shops, avoiding spending and avoiding neighbours (who are so noisy I can hear them over my music, in their garden with all my doors and windows shut!!!). Evening!
Well busy day had here, sports day, spent two hours sat in an office (was called in by welfare over NN) and then had to drop kit off to camp as DH forgot to pack some bits, get across town to DS1's school as he forgot his p.e kit and then get to homestart as I had a meeting at 1pm ....I am exhausted.
So back-tracking....sports day went well, ds2 threw the Javelin (I.E foam bullet shaped thing) really far, but accidentally did the wrong thing in the egg and spoon race (bean bag on table tennis bat) and threw the egg (bean bag- thank god it wasn't real!) :rotfl: was very funny and I videoed it for DH as he wasn't there....DS2 also has learnt to ride his bike without stabilisers :j:T...Onto sat in an office for hours (well felt like it was probably only one and a bit ) They offered me a move, but the only available housing was literally across from where we live now, they wouldn't pay removals, and the house is smaller than we have (can you believe they even offered it!) So I said no thanks. So now we're moving on to "mediation" her DH is away, as is mine. SO it will be just us. Gosh, wonder how this will turn out  The running around bits of kit is self-explanatory
and then Home start went well but I had to leave early as had to collect kids. I'm supposed to be at a meditation night but I made an excuse as i'm so exhausted
Also quite worried about the recent local murders, there are police and military police all over the estate. They have also cordoned off a road and were searching a garden for a weapon, bit scary really considering most of the men are away at the moment and it's just lots of women and kids in these houses alone !
Anyway I came on here to do my ynab as it's not the same as my bank :rotfl: it never is, i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong   Tenancy money is in though so £50 to ISA, £130 to CC (:o oops that was supposed to be ISA money) and gave £20 to DH and paid back a few accounts i'd borrowed from! I have plenty of money to pay for food left but am being cautious with what is left as I'm sure I have something pending before pay day and can't remember what it is nor how much for:o
Anyway today's spends were around £10 on food (had to pop to co op on way to and from places as didn't have time to queue in a1di today!)will find all the receipts from last few days now and put into ynab and see if it gets close to the banks figures as they are way out at the moment :rotfl:Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. Thank you lucky my thoughts too on all accounts
Today I spent the money in my account on swimming lessons for 5 weeks for the two smaller kids. Since becoming DF I've been meaning to do things like this so I'm happy in that respect. Not so happy that I've spent all my money thoughoops. I've twenty pound left wonder if I can stretch it lol.
dinner tonight is freezer surprise, literally, as I don't label anythingI'm thinking it could be curry and spaghetti bolognase (got two containers out as small portion of each) so will do jacket potatoes as that will go with either lol xx

Totally agree with this comment. I mean, with the location and the smaller size - why even bother tell you about the house.0 -
So mediation is off again. Firstly she refused to go by herself and told them only would she go with her two parents by her side. I was fuming  but agreed just wanting an end to this whole charade. I think she thought i'd kick off and refuse so when I agreed she then back-tracked and said actually no I want my husband to be there (both our hubby's are away so is this just a time delay tactic??) SO i said, ok (after all what else can I say I've been backed into a corner since the beginning and she's always held the cards over everything that has happened) So after agreeing to this I get a phone call again saying we're not sure if she will go through with this now, oh and by the way I think there is something you need to know. I shouldn't really say but I think it will answer an awful lot......she has Bi-Polar. SO I knew there was something wrong, but I kind of don't feel sympathy right now because I feel angry they've let me carry on thinking i've been going mad (not her) because she's vehemently denied every word that's ever come out of my mouth. I have friends with bi-polar and they act nothing like her. I don't believe she has her meds right and questioned this to be told it's not really my business! Excuse me? She's made my life a living hell, slandered my name and screamed at me and my children and could easily fly off the handle again and perhaps even worse (as it's been getting progressively worse!) and perhaps physically harm one of us, yet it's not my business. To say I feel quite let down by the whole welfare system is an understatement. I'm unsure how long they've known but I think its been a while. I'm so upset right now and DH is away with a bad signal in Wales so I can't even talk to him
So basically I just needed a rant as i'm fuming.

I'm going to my father's house tomorrow for a couple of days as well, just so I am not around when (and indeed if ) her parent's turn up this weekend. I didn't want to go as it's the weekend before payday and we're broke but I want to get away from her and them (they were the ones stood intimidating me in the garden before the fence went up) so I will. Just want to scream right now!
I've just paid for the kids to go to swimming class too for the next month so I spent all the spare money I had literally 30 minutes before I got these phone calls, argh!Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. Most importantly, I hope you have a lovely weekend with your Dad Xx
Whether the Bi-Polar is being used as an excuse () or not, at least this explains to others why she is in the wrong and you have done everything right so far, yet she has played the victim. I hope you will finally start to see the end of the whole business XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
