  • Forgot to mention DH is not taking the bonus so no new car yet....(am still looking for something cheap though) if he leaves it one more year it more than triples and what we thought he could get this year was not right it would be more like £1500 which is not enough really. If we leave it till next year we've been told it will be £5k+ which would be handy for when we move as it will be due around the time we are looking to go.

He's also going to see if he can sign up for a trip abroad as it means extra money for every night he is away (all towards car/ new house/ perhaps a few nights away in summer pots...)

    :)

  • I took pictures. I feel awful doing this but they have made me out to be some sort of monster so I thought to myself that I need to do this even if it comes to just defending myself when she accuses me of something else!

No. You're not escalating things - just maintaining a record of events.

Put it this way - if they hadn't turfed water all over your backyard, would you have been out there with the camera? No.

I suspect if OH's kit hadn't gotten wet, you probably would have let it slide as well.

Yes I probably would have done as this isn't the first incident i've had with them. I've just not logged anything :o DH needed it dry as he had to carry it (65lb worth of stuff soaked...can you imagine how heavy it would have been!) on an 8 mile run. He was absolutely fuming, quite rightly too. He could hear them sniggering as he was hanging it on the washing line to dry...wish i'd got the video camera out for that

  • Things really don't sound fun with the neighbour, make sure you log every detail.

Re meals with beans, what about a cowboy hotpot, sausage casserole, spicy bean pasta bake? I can give you recipes if needed.

What kind of tinned food? Like canned curries or chillis etc?

    Tuna jacket potato? Xx

  • My other standby, cheap and filling - couscous. If you're really skint (or lazy), bit of boiling water, one stock cube, bit of couscous. Dinner.
  • DFW i'm sorry to here your still having bother with the b!tch next door, I think I would of drowned her by now in her own bl**dy pool :rotfl:.

I can totally understand about the job after working so hard to get your degree, but remember every pound earned no matter how you do it (legally of course) is a pound closer to your dream and being in a place you want to be.

    Take care hun.x.

^^ my thoughts exactly re the job. Put a positive spin on it

The hours can be done to fit around school time

The money can be squirrelled away to help towards building that brighter future

Having a job, any job, on your cv is better than having nothing to put down

It won't cost you to travel and you'll be able to get home quickly and easily at the end of the shift

You may make some useful contacts

As for trouble with neighbour, I hope a plague of locusts descend on her

^^ Ditto everything Granny says (well, with reservations on the curse - plagues of locusts are not noted for honouring human boundaries so that could backfire! ** :rotfl:).

There's no shame in being a cleaner! Where would we be without 'em? ..Who knows, you might end up running the crew! ;)

Wonder how the poor dog's leg got broken? Sad sad sad for her..

** May NastyN be infested with internal parasites which hold a disco up her bum every night, just as she's trying to get to sleep! :D
  • :rotfl::rotfl: @ all your input! :D

I've had a HS meeting all day today nearly and am exhausted. There is a know it all there and hardly anyone else got any input! So annoying but I made sure I was heard at the end (as I think did everyone else ;))

I've had my rent payment :j I transferred it straight over to DH's ISA :j We are at the £10,000 mark now :T:j:D (£10,062.89 to be precise) I need to set myself another mini target I think..... will look at spreadsheets and see what I can wriggle out of next month's money :)
