At xmas we went into 3 to buy DS a phone, the manager asked us our postcode. She put it into the computer then said to us that she wouldn't sell us a phone as the signal was rubbish here and that the phone wouldn't work. Was amazed at her honesty.
Hope your dad is doing well.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -
Hi DFW, heres hoping that the signal booster box works.. how annoying that you cant get a signal in the house. How long until your contract is up and you can move providers? Theres probably something on the internet where you can check the coverage in your area.
Hope you have a nice weekend xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hello!
I'm sat waiting to hear from dad, he's currently in his appointment right now. I've had a very up and down week and kind of abandoned here....I had my hair cut, was going for a trim and when she turned up I got it all cut off  It was all the way down to the small of my back when she did it and now it's just above my shoulders! Over 10 inches off and I feel so much lighter because of it
it's a lot of hard work though as it's too short to tie up now and so I need to straighten and actually spend time on it (damn it I didn't think of that at the time
lol)
I've overspent on nearly every category on my spreadsheet this month, have totally avoided it up to today but this morning I sat down with receipts and my bank account and filled out the spend section on there! Depressing reading..................Big kick up the bum though!
Tonight I have to do a meal plan for the rest of the month and go and bulk buy as much as I can with the remaining money I have left. It's not a total disaster as I have money left in my bank, child benefit due each week till pay day and rental income due BUT i've not saved a penny in over a month and I'm desperate for a moral boost in the form of reaching £10k in savings!
SO this week's plans:
Today: Meal plan & speak to dad
Weds: food shop in bulk (non perishables), charity shop drop off stuff that is taking over my kitchen!
Thurs: Talk to mum (she's having her lump tested!)
Fri: H.S meet up with my family.
I will fit in my dog walk and meditation every day too to keep body and mind fit I think.
My sister called, she's having tests and an MRI done too. Can you actually believe this? 3 members of my family in one month. Her vision has deteriorated rapidly and she's suffering blinding headaches and migraines so the doctor wants to be on the safe side and check for "lumps" behind the eye that is causing so much pain/ sight deterioration. It never rains, but pours............!Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. J- £103.27, F- £115, M- £91.50, A- £100, M- £200, J- £200. J- £200. A-£200, S- £221.34. Hello DF(W)
I read your diary regularly but rarely post however I just had to delurk to say sorry that you are having to go through all of this worry with health scares in the family. I hope that the test results are more positive than you imagine.
Take care

With all this going on it's hardly surprising that you haven't been up to focusing on your budget too.
Happy new haircut
Hope all news from family members are good

Thanks for delurking Dolphin and for the positive thoughts, Granny I'd momentarily reverted back to my spend thrift ways this week. Shopping every day just to get out the house and keep busy
I have stopped and given myself a reality check- will spending all my money make me happy? No. Luckily it wasn't any big purchases so I can move on quite easily I hope.
Heard from dad as I was typing! Great news, they can operate straight away as it's not spread, isn't too large that they need to go down the other routes!he was so relieved as am I
I get to be the bearer of <sort of> good news now rather than worst case scenario! Xxx

Great news about your Dad, now fingers crossed for the other members of your family too. Don't beat yourself up about the budgets, in this type of situation something has to give. Take care.:)The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0

Great news about your dad! Positive vibes being sent your way for good test results for your mum and sister too.
And well done for not completely blowing the budget during this time of stress.

Great news about Dad :T. Not so good about your Sis. Hope all goes as well as it can there.
Well done on the spend thrift ways being kept to a minimum. It's funny how we all have fall back ways, mine is stress eating - probably why I've put weight on this week!!
Hope you have had a good evening XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
