Enjoying the Sunshine whilst Saving for the Rainy Day

Morning,
The air quality here today is awful. I took the kids to school and had an asthma attack on the way home, I had taken the dog out too as he was sick in the night and he was so lethargic I've locked him in the house today. I don't know if the sickness and lethargy are from the air quality but I don't want to take any chances
he's curled up in a ball sleeping now and usually he's had his breakfast and is bugging me for a walk or play by this time. It's grey out (cloudy & foggy looking) but the sun is there behind it all so it's quite warm. The car is absolutely filthy (worse than usual :rotfl:) as is everyone elses.
I need to go into town to buy easter bonnet things but not really wanting to go out in that
This morning i'm waiting in for a parcel, I've nearly received everything I ordered so hopefully not much more waiting in
Was a NSD yesterday as I thought and hopefully less than a tenner today on parking and bonnet making spends.
I'm having a "meh" feeling day today and hoping I snap out of it soon, I hate feeling down for no particular reason. DH is going away soon but the date has been changed so many times I've actually lost track of what day he's going and coming back now
I'm going to my mum's house from Sun-Tues so that I don't need to be here by myself (and listen to the neighbours making accusations about me as this always happens as soon as my dh goes away). Hopefully I will be returning home around the same time as him, and my MIL is visiting on Easter Friday for the weekend also. I've had phone calls from both my mum & dad in the last few days telling me they are both undergoing tests for suspicious "lumps" I expect this is probably causing the meh-ness feeling actually. I just hope all tests come back negative. Everything always seems to come at once hey. Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. Hope everything works out ok with the tests and the lumps are nothing serious.
We have had heavy fog and damp 'mizzle' here for the last 3 days, although I have to say I haven't noticed a difference in the air quality apart from that. Hope you and doggy pick up soon and avoid any more asthma attacks XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Thanks
I rang dad after posting as was really worried
he's off to the drs very soon so will keep me updated and tried to reassure me it was nothing. He has had cancer before though (skin cancer) and he never told us until after he'd been treated for it.

and i've not done much of that today so thank you :rotfl:!
Poor dog has been sick again and is just laid on floor, i've googled it and it suggests he has an empty stomach (yellow bile) but he won't eat anything so I've no idea what to do
perhaps he is just off colour like we get and I should just leave him for today to rest. He's staying in unless he needs the loo though as you can taste the dirt in the air outside, it's like being in central London! xx Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. Sorry to hear about the asthma attack DFW its very bad here too. The car had a thin layer of sandy dust on it this morning and its been very grey and horrible looking, but warm from the hidden sunshine , all at the same time !
Are the Easter bonnets urgent ? Could you rustle some up from a cardboardbox, I have been known too on the odd occasion in the past, when things have got desperate ! ie when I suddenly remembered about them at midnight the night before the Easter Bonnet Parade !

We've had fog all day but no sand settling. However, people with heart and lung problems were advised to stay in. As for Easter bonnets my son's nursery is doing a parade ... with prizes! Nothing like a bit of competition to get my creative side working overtime ... (though truth be told, I think Mrs. K. would be better at making this, she's rather arty whereas my skills in that department seem to be somewhat lacking).
I hope everything turns out OK with your father.2018 totals:

Thanks all
I found some bonnets in Sainsbury last minute yesterday afternoon! I made it to the school 1 minute before they came out  DS2 has nearly broken his already! I'm currently missing the parade though and have sent DH in my place
. I had to take the dog to the vets this morning as he was sick again in the night and very lethargic this morning. It's possibly pancreatis and we've been sent home with drugs and special food and he's had 3 injections. Thank god I have an emergency fund. I'm debating whether this is the time to change his foods. Pancreatis is caused by a build up of fatty foods so i'm not sure what I could have fed him that has caused that
But i don't want to take any chances. I'm sat next to him watching him now, he's only had the drugs about an hour ago so if he doesn't perk up within the next hour and half I need to take him back to the vets. He needs to eat something really and keep it down for them and me to be satisfied he's on the mend.

hey dfw321 - have you tried plain rice and plain boiled chicken for him? think i recommended when you felt unwell but we also used to give it to our dog when she wouldn't eat - its nice and plain for the tummy to handle but gives some nutrients.
Hope little doggy perks up soon
and hope DH enjoyed the easter bonnet parade
