Hiya
So pleased to here Duke is feeling a bit better
Gibbs has had a few tummy upsets and they seem to really knock him out for a day or two but then he perks up and is back to his normal barky self!!
He doesn't seem to drink a lot. He goes ages without me seeing him drink then drinks half his bowl of water in one go!!
I o hope you find something that suits Duke. I would recommend a chat with the lovely pat shop people. They might be able to suggest something different. They love to see the dogs there too!!PS Gibbs does love a carrot though!! Crunches it up on the doormat in the kitchen!
HI Sezza
I gave him a carrot earlier funny enough as he will usually have a nibble before hiding it somewhere but he just carried it around in his mouth lol.
I let the kids out the front earlier as we don't have a road out there just lots of paths and houses and green AND sun (none in back!) And Duke went trotting out after them and even found his ball to play. I threw it a few times for him but didn't want to undo all my hard work of hydrating him and then him undo it by going mad running round :rotfl: but I was like a proud mum watching him
he also went and found his collar for a walk! I think what I will do is take him out after dinner when the sun has gone and it's cooled down -not far though
I'm still forcing him to eat I think he may have a sore throat from being sick so much the other day! Glad it's not just my MS that doesn't like water much! Perhaps it's just normal

Glad to hear Duke is picking up a bit
Just thinking about how much he eats. Is he generally well and healthy (other than when he's poorly of course)? Is he about the "right" weight? or at least in the right area?
If he is, maybe he just doesn't have a very big appetite? As long as he has energy and isn't underweight, maybe just try him on as much as he wants to eat. Could try going back to the puppyness of 3 or even 4 very small meals? I have no knowledge to base this thought on just a "Mum's " instinct!
It's very easy to fret about our fur-babies isn't it!!0 -
Another MS loving owner here, always said when I had my other dog that when that one sadly dies I am never having another. Anyway within months of losing my dog I found myself with a fluffy ball called Charlie who basically rules the house. He has us all well trained, when to walk him, when to give him his treats and cuddles. He's not a big eater, he does his own thing. Hope your little MS continues to recover.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

which is what I know I do
he's been on around 5 small meals since coming back from the vets and it seems to suit him better. I think he's missing his tripe though
but I want to stick to the vet food until it runs out
he's so much better today so I'm happy! Hes 9 kg so I think he's the right weight

That and the fact Duke is well is my good news! Bad news I need a holiday after visiting mum's house I've cooked/ cleaned/ babysat/ gardened/ misc. Since arriving on Sunday
my nephew has autism/adhd/ global development delay and his smaller brother has been copying every thing he does! I'm exhausted from the tantrums from both I take my hat off to my sister she just cracks on with it whilst I'm sat with a headache afterwards  I'm going home tomorrow for a one day break before the mother in law turns up Friday

Wow, i'm exhausted I really do need a break! I've done two washes since getting home to try and catch up with the back log (AKA the huge basket overflowing upstairs!!) My two smaller kids have been playing up all day copying behaviours they saw at my mums  really not in the mood for it so that was quickly nipped in the bud every time it happened! DS1 was glad to be back as he'd ordered a game from the internet and it was waiting for him on our doorstep; he's currently swearing at it upstairs as I type, so glad he's enjoying it.
I've filled out the spreadsheets and even though I ended up paying for nearly everything at mum's house whilst out and about the damage isn't too bad. I think next time I will have to say to my mum to come to mine. I'm happy to even pay the train fare it's cheaper than me driving for just her. That way I won't have to be cramped in a small 2 up 2 down with 5 kids, 3 adults and 2 cats and a dog for days on end. My mum seems so angry with everyone
all the time, i've come away feeling ill  On the way home I was feeling relief that I had left, and despair that I was coming home to the horrible neighbours out in the garden making as much noise as they could
:( Sorry for whinging so much about it, I've not got anyone to talk to in real life
I've paid £50 over to the credit card, that was money I spent on it for petrol. I've checked pending and briefly filled out the spreadsheets, I am still short by £200 to make my goal but I won't transfer any more money now until I get more in so that goal may have to wait until May's pay day! *Finger's crossed for rental income even if it's just a little bit*
Tomorrow's jobs are washing, washing, washing and drying it all! DH will be back at the weekend with at least 3 washes himself so I need to get on top of it asap! I also need a food shop, spends are quite low so far on that front this month because of my few days away. I spent money at mums on food but as little as possible because I knew I was buying for me and my kids plus two other adults and 2 extra kids! Pasta, stir frys and rice were on the menu
I also asked my sister for a tenner, a big step for me as I never ask for money and just moan afterwards usually
Now I don't need to moan as she paid for a little bit at least
Not heard from MIL but am assuming she's still coming on Friday. I'm praying it's late and that DH makes it home Friday night so I don't have to entertain, how very rude of me
I haven't caught up with many of you so I hope you're all well and I will try and catch up very soon :AMortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. J- £103.27, F- £115, M- £91.50, A- £100, M- £200, J- £200. J- £200. A-£200, S- £221.34. O-£200EF- £642.41/500
