This morning's interview/chat seemed positive but not actual job as such at the moment. The company is restructuring and looking who might be available for various roles so will see if anything comes of it

Also had a call about temp work through to March so it seems I will be able to keep a roof over my head - even if I can't maintain my shoe habit! Hoping to get a call back with pay rates then I need to sit down and work out an actual budget - hopefully I will be able to cover rent and untilties, cut all other payments to the minimum and still be able to eat!

Had a mooch round town after my interview and spent £10 in Primark on a jumper and a scarf. Probably a bit naughty in the circumstances but at least it was Primark and not Selfridges!! :p

Was planning to go for a run this afternoon but it's so windy here I'm not sure it's a good idea! I have a few chores to do then will settle at my laptop and have another trawl of all the job sites and see if I can get any more applications in

Oh - and I got a parking ticket! At the station car park, which was full when I needed to get into town for my interview! Oh well - serves me right - another £60 to find!

Feeling quite low today, I think reality is starting it set in :(. No news from my interviews which I don't think is a good sign - the one on Wednesday was talking about second interviews next week so I thought I would hear by now (they don't know I'm not working so would've expected them to allow me time to arrange)

I have an interview on Monday for the temp role, however the pay rate wouldn't keep me afloat. It's more than I would get signing on obviously but would barely cover rent and bills, without food, transport - or debt payments! No sure where to go from here!

Did some errands this morning including finally putting some air in my tyres - I am hopeless at remembering to do this! :o

Now I need to make myself go for a run - am determined not to let that slip!

  • Hello Lovely X

Did you go for your run?

I was going to say you could appeal the ticket perhaps? you never know x

am so tired today but I think you said you had joined agencies, there does seem to be a lot of temp work about so you never know.

plus of course with your MSE knowledge am sure you could survey, points, sell some stuff to tide you over for a bit. I find Valued opinions good XXXX
    Nevertheless she persisted.

  • Sorry to hear your news ShoeGal, it's a bit brutal doing the interview thing but sounds like there are lots of potential things in the offing. At least there is a bit of a cushion even if it won't go very far and as you say it's not a great time of year for it (but then, really when is).

Hope you can keep smiling :)

Fab night out with friends last night - feeling a little delicate today ;). Meal at a favourite restaurant, cocktails and some of my bestest friends . Felt good in my outfit too - maroon leather skirt, plain black sweater (my Primark purchase from the other day), statement necklace and leopard print heels

Managed a 5k run yesterday in my best ever time and I've lost a pound!

Quiet day today, Kindle and Marie Claire are my companions so far! Let's see what this week brings! :p
