Santa run went well yesterday. Quite a slow time - it's hard to run in a Santa suit :p - but I got round and am definitely feeling fitter. Have eaten far too much naughty stuff in the last few days so need to get back on track with eating and stop picking! :o. I want to continue training so I don't go backwards as I train for Great Manchester Run 10k in May

Contract for my new job was emailed this morning so I have confirmed that I am turning the other one down. Start date is confirmed as 6th Jan so it will be a very tight month as I will have over a week unpaid! But the better salary should even it out at end of Jan

Posted my Christmas cards this morning and done a few other chores. Some housework this afternoon then abs and a run. Have booked my car in on Thursday, there's something wrong with my brakes. Hope it's not too expensive!

Ended up being a lazy day yesterday and I didn't run, I think the strain and uncertainty of the last few weeks hit me and I just wanted to veg out! Feeling better today and planning to use the 3 weeks before I start my new job to get some proper plans in place for an amazing 2014!

Meeting my old colleagues for lunch today, it feels good to be able to go to that and tell them I have a job - and a good one at that! I don't bear a grudge towards the girls I am meeting today but I still like to feel I have come out on top! :p

And then I need to run!

Lovely lunch yesterday with my ex colleagues - and they were all pleased I have a job sorted! :D

Went for a run this morning then met a friend for lunch. Went and finished my Christmas shopping afterwards and even bought a tree and some decorations! Just been out for dinner with a friend as it's her birthday at the weekend

Up early tomorrow to take my car in, fingers crossed it's not too expensive!

My brakes cost £200 . Literally cleaned me out! :(

Definitely made me realise better planning us required! New start in 2014 - I should have more coming in and 'savings pots' are required! This is my chance to get organised - and pay down my debts!

Busy few days including hosting a family party yesterday! Lots of shopping, baking, cleaning, tidying and other festive preparations! All seemed to go well, but now I am full of a cough and cold and was sick in the night :(

Quiet day planned today but I am feeling a bit better now. Have to drop my mum's car back which she left last night and then was planning a run but it's wet and windy here is not sure now?

Did a quick Next sale VIP - got a sequined skirt I'd had my eye in @ £42 for £18 which I consider to be a proper bargain. And I resisted buying anything else just because it was reduced! ;)

Then I have presents to wrap and a few other bits to do. My weight remained steady last week which I'm happy with considering several social occasions - and lots of Christmas chocs! :p
