Suggest you quietly point that out later in the process.

It certainly doesn't sound like somebody has spent their weekend writing up the issue, researching the options and pelting in to see the HR Director first thing Monday morning, which is what I would expect to end up doing if an issue really serious enough to result in someone resigning happened in my department. Not impressed with your management so far.

However, that's all more power to your elbow :D

PS. if you didn't already, suggest you grab copies of the incident reporting and disciplinary procedures and policies... that should give you info on how the process is supposed to work.

Thinking of you Shoe Gal. I echo Rosa, sounds like they don't really know what they're doing. It is awful being dragged out, but stay strong and hold your nerve. Everything crossed for you.

Well, it all dragged out until the end of Tuesday, I have been given a verbal warning and put on a 3 month review. In the end I decided to accept it - and look at it as a bit of breathing space. I am confident I can meet all the conditions, although the micro managing is getting a bit much already! :p. Keeps a roof over my head and gives me a chance to look around, always easier when you are in a job!

Aside from this life seems to have been on hold! :o. Need to start getting back on track tomorrow, I've a busy few weeks, my birthday and then Spain at the end of the month :D

Thanks to all lovely MSE friends for your kindness and support :A
