Had a fun (and busy!) weekend and enjoyed my birthday yesterday! :D

Feeling a bit flat today but I am going to Spain on Friday so have that to look forward to so just need to get my head down and get through the rest of the week

Then when I get back I need to make some plans for this year (always go from my birthday rather than New Year!)

Plan to go to the gym tonight as I have been letting that slip recently then washing, cleaning and packing :p

Sneaks in a bit sheepishly :o not been around for a while!

    Update

I've been in a social whirl, have been out every weekend and done loads of partying, including a hen weekend, a long weekend in Spain and far too many cocktails

I've kept my weight steady, and have been trying to run regularly

My finances are all over the place and my overall debt has increased

    I've been made redundant

Ok, so it's time to take control and put some plans/strategies in place

I was made redundant last Thursday and am on 4 weeks paid gardening leave. It came out of the blue as things had settled down but the grapevine now says they have lost a big account so it's starting to make sense. If I'm honest I'm not devastated as I didn't really like the job and was planning to start looking for something in the New Year anyway - just the timing is not brilliant!

Anyway, I have made a positive start, updated my CV and registered with loads of agencies in my field as well as uploading to Monster etc. I have an interview tomorrow afternoon for a really good job, more like the one I left so fingers crossed for that. I also have an 'informal chat' set up with another company on Thursday as they are very interested in my CV. The feedback is positive so far so I haven't gone into panic mode just yet! As a back up plan I am fairly confident that I will get temping work in Jan if I need it

I have just let money run away with me in the last couple of months, having too much fun and spending! Added up my total yesterday and will update my signature. My overall total has gone up a few hundred pounds, which when you consider I have made £800 in payments in the last two months is not good  It's done now, and just need to get back on here and back on track. Hopefully I will get a job and be able to do that. It cost me £55 to get my laptop fixed last week but I felt it was a necessary expense now I am job hunting. Although I have an ipad I just couldn't get my CV etc to work on it despite advice on here about Cloud and Dropbox. Anyway, it's working fine now so hopefully money well spent

My weight has remained steady, up and down with all the partying but overalll has stayed about the same. I still want to lose around 10lbs but will really focus on that after Christmas - the social whirl continues! I am running a 5k in a couple of weeks and have been disciplined over the last 3 weeks with running, running every other day. I've hardly been to the gym, mainly due to lack of time but have managed to fit in the running which I think has helped to control my weight - as the chocolate certainly hasn't!

Today I have finished the last module on my wedding planner course, and applied for my certificate. I don't think it is something I will do long term but it was an interesting course and something else to add to my CV

While I am, unexpectledly, at home I plan to get some stuff done in my apartment, every room needs a declutter really, and I feel I should make the most of this time off! Apart from finishing my course this morning I've sorted out my emails and caught up with surverys! Trying to get back into MSE ways, I've just redeemed on Maximiles for a 6 month Red subscription.

Plans for the rest of the day are go for a run, do some interview prep and sort out interview clothes then I am meeting a friend for dinner tonight :D

Did my run yesterday afternoon and then a lovely dinner and catch up with my friend :D Feeling a bit on the heavy side this morning - need to get back on track with food. It's easy to keep picking while I'm at home so a healthy shop is required later so I can make better choices

Interview day today - so fingers crossed! I've done loads of research on the company, had lots of tips from the agency about what they are looking for and outfit is planned (classic, all black business dress and jacket plus statement necklace!)

Interview went well today and the agency called with positive feedback. Second interviews should be next week so waiting to hear now if I get one! Fingers crossed!

Not done anything else today, early night tonight I think in preparation for tomorrow's interview although this one is more informal, not sure there's an actual job available

    Hi Shoegal

Which agency do you use, or would recommend? I'm moving back to Sefton from February 2014 (woohoo), and atm I don't know if my organisation will allow me to "work from home". If they don't I'll be looking for admin / event organisation work.

    Cheers

What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
