Awful week at work, huge mistake on my part resulting in a big financial loss to the company. I have been given the opportunity to resign and have the weekend to think about it :(. My gut instinct is not to, it feels like running away

    Anybody got any thoughts/advice? :A

As I don't know in & outs it is hard to comment.
Might they ask you to leave if you don't resign?
    Sorry to be so unhelpful.

  • Oh Shoe gal, I am so sorry.

    how !!!!.

In my life I try to very hard to go with my gut instinct. Trusting my gut hasn't led me wrong yet and ignoring it often does!

I will be back on later - will think it over for a bit.

    Difficult thing to advise on.

    HUGE hugs.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Given that you are new, the company has a huge responsibility to ensure you know the procedures. If you haven't been trained, then it's their fault....
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

    Thanks :A

This was mind kind of thinking - and that resigning might weaken my position?

Really sorry to hear that ShoeGal. Difficult to know what to suggest with just the bare bones as it depends so much on the situation - both what happened, and what your options would be. But if your instinct is to stay then I would look at that first - if nothing else, you will always know you saw it through instead of wondering.

    Sending you virtual hot chocolate
