Well paid off 80 today but somehow added to my credit cards the same amount yday. with purchase of new walking boots for me needed badly was in pain the other night with old ones, Xmas pressie for daughter, M & s 10 pound voucher for a fiver, and pics last night - Saving Mr Banks was brilliant and love a film that makes you laugh and bawl yr head off.
So result - going no where fast.
Will steer clear of internet and shops until next week.
Used to ignore what I was adding to my card but now realise the only person I am kidding is myself.
After yr remark I2U went on mortgage free calculator on here. Suprising how difference a slight overpayment would make. On a fixed rate till June 2014, know I can't make overpayments now and would be penalised if I did. On my calculations reckon I owe 39K at the end of December will have 10 yrs left to pay from June next yr. Really going to look into having one I can make overpayments into.
This month isn't going to plan so far but will try my bestest:rotfl:LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
I wouldn't feel bad about the walking boots purchase Calling. They're an essential as you were in pain and they'll help you keep fit which is definitely allowed :j
Sounds like an idea changing the mortgage at some point but more important to pay off those debts first0 -
:TWell Saturday was a no spend day. Lunch at daughters and she treated me to costa coffee later. Yeh
Yesterday had lunch out naughty but nice, catch up with old friend and did a bit of xmas shopping in Sainsburys. However now can't find the receipt and got the wrong size for one item, hopefully they will do a straight swop if I pop there tonight.
Nothing to report on debt front until end of the week, this xmas thing ain't helping.
Hoping I will get paid for 2 days holidays as can't see I can take them before xmas shutdown which would be dandy - find out tomorrow.:D
Got my new walking boots will have to pad them a bit with insoles as one seems big on me, - having odd sized feet doesn't help only 1/2 a size different just thought I would mention. Play tonight with thick socks and see how they go on a test run, Seem light and comfy so far, it was dark last night so didn't venture far seeing as they still haven't caught the attacker in our nearby woods bit nervous of going out after dark.:(
Well have a good Monday folks, off to shuffle some paper around my desk:cool:LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Week from hell, 2 relatives in hospital total nightmare. I feel an emotional wreck. Xmas shopping not started yet and at the moment I really couldnt care less.
Paid off 160 today less interest came to 156.53. Slipped up with interest charges. Hopefully still get down to 9,500 but will be 1.01.14 and not xmas eve as planned - such is life.
Had to take time off work this week so will loose my holiday pay I was hoping for. Nevermind suns out, home in 30 minutes and a nice dog walk, clear my head.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Awh Calling you poor thing, it sounds like you've really been put through the wringer this week
It just reminds you that health and family is the most important thing and everything else is just a nice to have.
Put your feet up and have a tipple you deserve it :beer:0 -
Thanks I2U. Well my brother in law passed away over the weekend - sad times. Was quite rapid as he only got admitted couple of days before. My sister expected to pass away last week, even had priest there, just hope she hangs on a wee bit longer for my nephews as losing both set of parents would be awful in a short space of time. She has been ill with dementia for over 10 yrs but always a fighter so who knows?
Done some xmas shopping, only eldest daughter really to sort out now. Not going mad, heart isn't really in it this year. Credit card damage could be kept to a minimum. Think this week has proved that friends and family are worth more than any pressie.
Nothing to report on credit card front. Need to get a bal tf done by xmas, with everything going on, haven't looked around yet.:o

Hi Calling,
Just read through your diary & I am gonna subscribe to keep upto date.
So sorry to hear about your brother in law & sister.
There is never a good time to lose members of your family but especially at this time of year.
Hope you are all ok.

Thanks Dolly Rocker I am fine just full of cold, bad chest. Managed to get into work today and booked a holiday off for tomorrow as I need to concentrate on my own family members and get some pressies sorted.
Finish work Friday, Funeral Monday and plan xmas eve to go to zoo with Grandson as cheap that day.
Sister has a cough, I will stay away with my cold, really after last week them withdrawing all fluids from her for 48hrs and then decided to put her back on them Friday. She is a fighter but can't go on like this forever.
The strain of her treatment last week has really messed me up. Usually nothing bothers me but my dog wouldn't have been treated like that.
I think I will join 365 days challenge seems nice idea.
Now I know when the funeral is can book my car in for an MOT. Hope that is straightforward and no expense.

God I know it is quite an awful thing to happen to anyone & it really does make you think of how cruel it is, We don't let animals suffer like that but we allow people to be. I just don't quite get it.
Glad you got the day off tomorrow will give you much needed time to sort some things out.
Oh I love the zoo, last time I was at the zoo we went to chester zoo.
We don't have kids so I thought we would be in & out in like an hour but we where there all day! Was fantastic.
Fingers crossed for your MOT.
Yeah join in the 365 challenge, more the merrier.
