Back to this diary as need to try and stop spending money. Decided to set myself a target to reach before xmas of 9500 pounds as was so close before house repairs. So watch this space folks I will do it. Only 1029 to get paid off. eeekkk.

Had a hangover all morning and suddenly seems to have lifted. So off evil drink now till xmas party time. Planned my budgets up to December, hoping I get a xmas bonus which would help a wee bit.

Looking forward to a sunny woodland walk when I get home,

  • Hi Calling, targets and goals as you know are what works for me, so reaching £9500 would be an amazing achievement :j I've found having an albeit tiny amount of savings, that I know I can access immediately in an emergency has really allowed me to push the monthly payments. I've thankfully not had to dip into it yet but its been awful close a few times :rotfl: Sorry to hear about the hangover, hopefully a well deserved Xmas bonus will be on its way to you soon

I like the idea of having a small saving amount and will work twards this in January

Today expensive day so far 95 pounds dentist, was planned and so happy to get it done, Naughty bit I bought ticket to see Manic Street Preachers next year so hoping my EDF refund hits my bank this week to fund my little treat. Cone of shame for me!!!!!!

Need some veg and washing powder so will have spend a few more pounds later.

In a great mood, must remember not to smile at anyone yet, till my mouth goes down tho.

    Todays money saving tricks
Stayed in office, postpone food shop till tomorrow and cancelled hairdressers appt so saved 15 pounds there already.

Feeling totally fed up combination of not seeing much daylight and every time I go out it rains, hails or sleets on me. Budgets not looking great, need to get a bal tf in motion before xmas unless a lottery win is happening. Night in dvd and wine tonight needed. Have a great Weds folks

Knuckling down hopefully clear some debt next week.:j

Today in my wisdom decided to join Welsh Hosp Assoc. at 10.18 a month, covers dental and optical expenses, plus a lot more, max benefits will be reached by me no doubt over next 2 yrs. Way of budgeting for at least dentist which in the last month cost me 200 pounds, need new glasses next yr so makes sense.

Had to food shop yesterday, leaflet drop by Morrisons saved me a fiver. Now stocked up for the great snow if it ever happens.:D

Not spending any pennies, today or tomorrow determined.

Worked through the budget on this site today and now joy of joy actually have 6 pounds left over at the end of the month. Marked improvement on a few months ago. Cancelling Sky which I never watched anyway, swopping utility bills has helped as well.

Spreadsheets studied again but can't seem to find anyway to make cutbacks now. :(

  • Hello! Good luck with the debt-busting Calling14!

Where are you seeing MSP? They're one of my favourite bands, saw them about 5 years ago and it was ace! I didn't know they were touring again but now I'm really tempted to go buy tickets too! I was hoping to steal some ideas on how to save money, not more things to spend it on! :rotfl:

Hi Queenidiot, that's what always happens to me - try to avoid Grabbit whilst you can thread. Lol

Seeing The Manics in Manchester 1st April only doing a few dates like the fact they still play smaller venues and not stadiums.

Like something to look forward to. So fed up trying to be good, scrimp and save burst into tears when I got home from work. Got a busy weekend ahead, with mainly few hrs work tomorrow, then relatives afternoon and more relatives visiting super early Sunday. So lots of cooking and cleaning oh joy.

Seeing no sign of Prince Charming turning up Cinderella will chill out tonight wine and a bubbly bath.:)

Thanks Indebted2U, feel brighter today. Got roped into cleaning job today supposed to be couple of hrs hmm wasted at least 3 1/2 hrs there. Had a nice play with grandson this afternoon so much fun now he is starting to talk, shattered after all my jobs, dog walk, made tomorrow's hotpot to feed relatives. Will make a crumble in a bit.

Night in, just need a chill out on couch tonight and a Sfd to report ;-)
