Good morning, hope the Captain likes Roger, least you wont have to worry about getting too fat on summer grass :)

We have a cat down the yard and hossie has never had close encounter bar walking past stable until last night when cat was on the edge and flicking her tail in hossies face, was funny watching her investigating :)

Great to see you are now debt free Piquant! Well done - you have done brilliantly. Enjoying this new chapter in your diary (well not so new now but I have been away from MSE for a while!).

I know he won't like Roger. It's a given. He didn't like the ducks or seagulls at his last livery yard. A brazen rooster is going to give him a lot of exercise:rotfl:

Good morning mizmir great to 'see' you back. Hope things are looking good in your neck of the woods. I think I've seen a diary with your name on it....I shall go and investigate....

Turns out I wasn't as debt free as I had thought! A bank statement had managed to add a final £19.19 of interest on the overdraft I paid off:mad: Cheeky b*ggers! I've just transferred the money across, hopefully, that's it.

On a good note financially I've had the final bill in for the water from my old house and they owe me £109.91:j Quick as a flash I was on the phone to claim it back. They were going to carry it forward to the next bill? That'll be the closed account then, will it? Anyway, it's on it's way back to me. Needless to say it won't be immediate it won't arrive until the 20th. How come it's instant to take it away from you but takes at least a week to give back?

I'm going to have to hit the supermarket. I'd hoped to hold out longer but I'm nearly out of washing powder, vegetables and olive oil. I'll go on the way home from work tonight as I pass a 24 hour Tesco on the drive home, saves going tomorrow morning.

The Captain is well and was overjoyed to see me, thank goodness he remembers to stop before he gets to me. Being bowled over by half a ton of joyful horse is not high on my list of priorities. He and Noah are only going into the field between 10 and 4, they're both oldies and enjoy being warm and dry [with loads of hay on the side]. I went to see the farmer whose fields I will be using for the Captain and Noah when they come home, the wonderful man is putting down a hard standing area near the gate as well as foundations for the stable :T Plus there will be running water. It will be a paradise for the boys. It's difficult to wait for the Spring, but it would be silly to bring them here without anywhere to keep them warm and dry.

Lovely to read about the animals - am also the same, in RL I discuss grown up stuff but am much happier discussing the piggies, the doggies and the now lone gerbil :(, various fish and possible rabbit.

So glad you found my diary too Piquant. Wonderful news about the field and the stable - how lovely it will be to have them close to you. The spring isn't that far away (although this morning it felt a long way off - brrr!)

I am so much happier talking animals! When the kids were kids we had all sorts: Six guinea pigs, four rabbits, two dogs, two cats and the Captain. I was always covered in animal fur :D:D

Tonight was very quiet at work so I finished early and popped into the 24 hour T£sco on the way home. I was leaning over the frozen fruit cabinet [blueberries are very nice in porridge] when I looked at the man in the ice cream section. He was wearing his pyjamas!:eek::eek:Just as I was thinking ' mens pyjamas are a bit risky because they don't necessarily do up at the front' his willy flopped out :eek::eek::eek: [there are not enough of these:eek::eek: to signify the horror :eek::eek: mixed with :rotfl::eek::rotfl::eek::rotfl:]

What on earth possessed him to go late night shopping in his pyjamas?? When I told the lady at the checkout she started to laugh and said that they got all sorts in during the late night shift, her favourite being the man in a sequined thong and wellingtons.....

:rotfl:Having to stifle laughter here in case I wake DS... :rotfl:There's me feeling guilty if (working from home) I make a work related phone call in my dressing gown... Have you ever seen any of the People of Walmart? Clearly the influence has spread.
