I slept in very late this morning
must have been something to do with the glass or two of bubbly I had last night [or the huge bowl of cat food I gave Colin before bed:D]
I have already done some tweaking to my 2014 spreadsheet it now gives me ample warning that I am approaching my overdraft! I've also made a PAD to the savings challenge I recklessly joined last night - £3.32 is a microscopic percentage of £6k.
Also in the slow cooker is a very healthy vegetable soup. I'm back on my lbs for Alzheimers. Have no idea what I put on over the Christmas week, no need to worry I'll check it out sometime!
The weather is grim and grey which is putting me off going outside for a walk. It could be another day watching films with Colin....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Grim here too - I have two dogs under the duvet with me
I feel like going and putting something in my slow cooker now too - I can almost smell soup.
Enjoy your day.0 -
It's a horrible day here too, so apart from travelling back home, I don't expect we'll do much as well! And don't knock the £3 savings - it's a start on the first day of the yearBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

What a lovely slow start to 2014
We managed to get to bed at 0645 after my stint. As a consequence had a very slow and quiet day with Doglet on sofa under Throw interspersed with bouts of mopping up more water ingress and just had Chinese delivered
Considering starting another diary having spent a quiet few hours mooching matters fiscal and thinking what I want to achieve in 2014 and what it may have in store for me and DH. But not having a crystal ball it's more than a guess work!Start info Dec11

After an incredibly lazy day yesterday where the only exercise involved peeling myself off the sofa every now and again it's time to join real life again. Shame.....
Today's excitement includes waiting for the man to come and fix my dishwasher. Having told the company when I called to request an engineer that I leave for work at 3:30pm I have had the call telling me the engineer will arrive at approximately 4:00pm..... Good start to the day, especially as I got up early in case the engineer arrived at 8:00am! Well, I've explained why the timing is not going to work, let's see if the message got through.
I have just realised that Colin's Christmas present still has not arrived. Poor Colin. I'll chase up on that later. I ordered him a special cat blanket for the cat sentry post [bay window to you and I] Thought it would keep his delicate bottom warm :rotfl:
Already done the finances and learned how to do a tick in Excel, nice orange ones for 2014
So not looking forward to working this evening....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

What a lot of activity on the diary board, so many new ones!
Busy day, I've done a shift and a half, tomorrow is a double shift. However the money's for the furry ones. Field shelters and catflaps.
I used up various coupons today and saved £11.35 on a supermarket shop and £1.50 on petrol. The £12.85 saved is going to my savings account in the morning [can't be doing with logging into the bank now] I had to go to the bank to pay my overtime money in. Whilst in town I popped into the coffee shop and got a free cup of coffee which surprised me in a very pleasant wayAllegedly I am very missed. Really?
And I've put another £5 for Alzeimers aside. Somehow over Christmas I lost a pound. How clever is thatTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
