matter under discussion. It's complicated as it involves next door and their. Insurance but they don't want to use insurance .... Ho hum a battle for sure I think
I hope you get it sorted out without losing out financially. Isn't that what they have insurance for? To pay for things like this? Hmm, some people...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Oh dear missrlr that sounds complicated and possibly expensive. Would it be their insurance or yours which would be claimed against?CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420

Xmas Eve sounds exhausting. You must have been run off your feet! Were they terribly demanding too? But Christmas Day sounded wonderful. And someone else cooked and washed up. I bet you felt for them though after your Xmas Eve!CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -
Our insurance won't cover as it was caused by next door at the back so are saying we have to claim from them, they don't want to get their company involved ....... and "wear and tear" at the front. We are arguing the wear and tear bit as 6 year old windows and doors should not fail and have water pouring through them! Ever single one of these failed across the whole front of the house!
So now having to get an expert window manufacturer not just a fitter in to assess and provide a written report at our cost to try and get them to change their minds ...... The company who fitted them, not for us for previous owners are saying because the previous owners did not write to them and say they were selling the house at the time the guarantee is void.

It sounds like they don't want to get the company involved because they don't want to lose their 'no claims' and put their premiums up. The window manufacturer's reasoning sounds like complete b*ll*xs to me. Looks like you're going to writing some letters soon. Good luck! Were they terribly demanding? Verbatim, they were men.....of course they were demanding :rotfl: One of them couldn't even remove the seal from the ketchup bottle
I did feel a bit guilty for eating out on Christmas day, but apart from a lot of loud laughter the family were very well behaved and everyone contributed to a very generous tip to our waitressTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I've cleared the ironing pile:D:D All the stuff I bought across in the move un-ironed and more beside, only to discover I'd thrown away what seemed to be excess hangers
Clothes are now doubled up on hangers, easy remedy!
Four hours overtime this evening, but I'll be finished by nine. All the overtime is going into the Captain and Noah's field and living fund.
Tomorrow is my day off and as I'm working evenings this week I'm getting Tuesday evening off too :T Work is closing at 5. Mind you, I've been asked to work a double shift on Saturday to which I've said yes. It'll probably buy the boys a fence post :rotfl:Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

So nice now that you can use your extra pennies for something you (or Captain and Noah) need.0

Hey great news on the ironing mountain super impressive!
Want to come do mine too???? (Hopeful emoticon)
Have washed all wet stuff, now have a ridiculous amount of ironing!
All I can say is thank goodness for solid flooring!
Am in complete agreement at your assessment. Neighbours are having building quotes done suspect when they see what the price is going to be the insurance company getting that bill!!!
When letters are written I am NOT going to do any more. I am spending the last 2 days of this year doing something enjoyable (and cheap)Start info Dec11

It's my day off:T The weather is truly awful so I'm staying put. I don't need anything, the fridge and freezer are full. I have a vegetable stock in the slow cooker and I've already roasted the slightly sorry looking sweet potatoes all ready for soup.
I also have tomorrow and Wednesday off, how great is that? Back to work Thursday evening though.
This afternoon I think I might just cosy up on the sofa with Colin and watch a film or two
As an added bit of excitement, the fencing for the Captain and Noah's field have arrived. The farmer is storing them in his barn until the weather is more suitable for fence erection! The boys are on their way home :jOkay, I know it's not until Spring next year, but the journey home has started.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
