Good news re the fencing - but I think even you would not want to be in the field today!!! It's grim out there.0

Excellent news for the fencing. Fence erection in this weather will not only be unpleasant work, but also given the soggy ground probably ineffective too!

The fencing isn't going up until the Spring. All is on hold until the Spring or at least when the ground is dry enough. The farmer has sorted out the field shelter already :T He has repaired the end wall so that there is a dry area for hay and he has marked out a stable area too, although this will not be happening until the Spring either. Also on the cards for later is fertilizing the field.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

The diaries thread is filling up with new diaries, very exciting! I love reading them. Also, of course, peoples hopes and ambitions for the new year. I don't do resolutions mainly because I fail the moment I tell myself I must!
However, 2013 saw me come out of the dark and into a debt free era. It is not a resolution to remain debt free, it is a new way of life. The habits I have learned over the last five years are firmly routed in my daily life now.
2014 will see the Captain come home with Noah. Every penny that it costs will come out of budgeted money, not a penny on a credit card. Each month will see me put a fairly high figure away to keep the boys safe and healthy and it will be a fair sum, both the horses are bordering on geriatric!
Not to be outdone Colin has had some money put aside for a catflap! Slightly more expensive than the average catflap as it has to go in a glass door and I want a microchip controlled one, save Colin bringing home every Tom, !!!!!! and Harry Cat to eat :rotfl:
I'll continue on with my private lbs to £s for Alzheimer, for some seasonal reason, perhaps the chocolate, perhaps the wine, I've strayed the last week. Tonight will see me toasting in the new year with a glass or two of Prosecco and then it will be an alcohol free January. Also on the cards for January is a spend as little as possible and meal plan month. I still don't have a realistic view of what my cost of living here is yet. I know it's approximately half of what it was, but not an exact figure yet. Plenty of overtime available to put aside for one off expenditure if it becomes necessary.
Wishing you all a happy and healthy new year
