aw congrats on DS1 Piq!!! funny it's only reading the past few posts about cat's names that I realised my neighbours must think I've got a 19th century poet living with me when I call Byron in for his tea :o

Very tame names! My old cat was called Take-Away (he came from a chinese restaurant, don't think he was on the menu though). A Turkish Van that couldn't stand water! Long gone now but did live to 21.

Congrats on everything Piq, all looking good.

Wow! Congratulations on the engagement! Things are going from strength to strength at last for you.

I opened up this diary on the last page and this was the first post and I thought crikey Piq had a change of heart with Mr Half Mast! So I went back to read what I have missed:D

Now an admission and probably no karma coming my way and I may even be virtually berated and thrown off this diary...............if I had been in a similar position I would have probably taken the money.............. now how bad is that?!

BUT I would never have suggested you do the same - each to his/her own and all that

    Please no shouting from readers:D

Glad to hear things are all going in the right direction :)

Daft duck you! No-one will shout at you here. I was so very tempted to take it and run and still am thinking about it! This is who and what I am, wish I was a little more mercenary with money though:o

Already done one gardening job in the rain, the money paid for my petrol and some crumpets that fell into my hands as I was walking to the checkout :D

Managed to clear some more old files and get the results into the paper recycling. I ought to do some more. I have another bag from 'return to earn' to fill, but I'm quite tired and I've got work this evening:( That will be a tomorrow job along with some eb@y listing as it's a free listing weekend. Might take a few 99p items to list at work. Use the boring times well :D

All the photos are now boxed up in the new plastic lidded boxes which will probably be their home for the next 20 years :o

I've send off another box of CDs which should bring in around £25. However, I have to buy some boxes for moving, I've found a reasonably priced source, bubble-wrap and tape. I can't risk my grandma's china! Unfortunately, these are costs going on the cc. Needs must and it will all be cleared after moving, so for another couple of months I'm not too worried. I've also got access to using a huge van for the day, no cost, I make the chap who owns a van rental place coffee every shift at work. He says I can have whatever I need for free :T I have started adding biscuits to the coffee [work buys the biscuits :D]

Very tired so I'm going to have a nap in a minute to charge my batteries for the evening shift. Until later....

I've picked up three boxes from the supermarket, that's all they've got! Work are under instructions to save boxes. However, it won't be enough. I've still a lot of china, books and music that I want to take with me. Not mention general stuff, so much makes up a home! I've even considered the Christmas decorations, they have to get there somehow!

Anyway, change of plan, possible eb@ying at work, definite filling in of solicitors questionnaire and related paperwork, provided it's quiet of course.

Apple boxes are sturdiest. Ask on Fr88gle too for packing cases and bubble wrap - always see people offering/requesting on my local Fr88gle.

Do you have a bookshop near you? They generally have loads of strong boxes which they would be pleased to pass on to you.

PLEASSSSSE ask on freecycle for moving boxes - everyone has at least a few and it will save money:p

Alternatively, pop into Sainsburys or Tesco and ask the home shopping manager if they have any delivery baskets past their best that you could rehome for them? - I have a few in the garage (when we EVER find them!!) Or fruit & veg shops - they usually have lovely big sturdy apple boxes which have an over box too - great for china.

So may exciting things are happening in Piq world: moving, financial breather, new job, wedding, daughter home phew!! On the wedding front, we need to know colours as we cant all wear the same!!!:rotfl:
