Hi Piq,
Yes you did the right thing, I don't think it would have sat well with you if you had taken the bigger offer, at least your conscience (is that how you spell it?) is clear. Have a great
Take care. time with your daughter.0 -
No - not *mad* at all. If only more people were like you the world would be a much nicer place.0

:j:j:jMy daughter is coming home today:j:j:jYou're all going to think I'm mad when I tell you about yesterday evening. The estate agent called and said that the people who missed out on the bidding war have offered even more money than the house was up for .... I am mad though aren't I?

Yey to DD coming home, I hope you have had the greatest of days
think you did the right thing re the house, suppose the 2nd person was to pull out for some reason, you've lost 2 potential sales in 1 fell swoop. This way you've got a fall back just in case. Knowing you, it sits easier knowing you've treated them how you'd want to be treated yourself. Colin clearly agrees with your decision too by drawing additional attention to the sold sign
hope you've had a productive but fun day with your dc

Hi Piq - Just wanted to say I also think you did the honourable thing. Your buyers are in a good position to proceed to a probable quick sale whereas the higher bidders may not be in such a position. Also you can hold your head high. Your buyers know they will be so pleased as well in realising they are dealing with such an 'honourable' person.
So pleased things are looking so much better for you and that you have your daughter back with you for a while.
I love Colin's antics!

Another one in the 'You have done the right and honourable thing' camp.
And I love what jaybee wrote and agree, if there were more folk like you Piq, the world would be a better place...... And if there were more like colin, well, then the world would be a wonkier place................jus sayin........:rotfl::rotfl:
