....and here I am back again!
Very worried I have man-flu despite being a girl;) Just when I don't need a cold to end all colds, I've got one. Sweating in a most unladylike way, nose - nonfunctioning, hangover headache - without the alcohol and so on...
DD has been back to help pack, we have been ruthless in the kitchen, much binned, much packed and little left :eek:She did allow me to keep Colin's bowls in the same cupboard, one of his great pleasures in life is when I go to a certain cupboard. He has a rattlesnake vibration to his tail when something of extreme excitement is going to happen:rotfl:His tail quivers at great speed, never had a cat do this before, very funny to see.
Three more bags of books donated to the charity shop and more bubble wrap purchased.
Tomorrow is the day to take stuff from the garage to the dump and MOT day. I hope the car does its duty and passes.
Because I feel rough I am decluttering the marsala wine. I feel like I have hangover so it can't make it any worse :rotfl:and it's one thing less to pack....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I think I have misunderstood the 16th October scenario. I think it might be just for exchanging contracts, not completion. At least I hope so. Another couple of weeks would be helpful on the time front if not the financial front. I will phone the solicitor tomorrow to find out.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Sorry you are feeling so rough - hope you will soon be over the worst of it.
I can just imagine Colin's rattlesnake tail and the obvious excited anticipation when *his* cupboard is opened!
Hope your thoughts about the 16th are rights - it sounds more likely.
Excellent that you had some help and made good headway with the flinging!0 -
Daughters are ruthless.
Bless little Colin and his flicky tail! Sounds like things are moving on apace. Very exciting!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
You are doing an amazing job :j :j :j
Thanks dearest beanie :hello:
Not feeling too amazing this evening, completely engulfed by my cold.
Still enough of that, good news instead. My car passed its MOT all it needed was one brake light and that was free :TA very tiny saving, but a saving nevertheless. I then raced, alright, waddled to the post office and purchased six months of car tax. I am now legal and law abiding again!
DS1 has done three trips to the dump for me, the garage is now clear apart from a tatty table top. He and his lovely fiancee are going to have my rather nice chest of drawers when I move, no room for itThey want to pay for it, but I'm saying no, they're helping now and on moving day that is payment enough. Lovely fiancee packed up ornaments. I'm not going to have enough room for them all. It will look like an old curio shop if they all go out, but until I'm there I won't know what will fit in and what will have to go.
Failing miserably at eb@y. I upgraded my phone with IS thingy and now eb@y isn't working properly  I've managed to get a couple of bits up there but lost patience with it and given up. Personally, I can't see that they've made any relevant improvements, but I'm not a geek and don't know about these things.
Today's purchases were expensive
One MOT
Six months road tax
Lunch for the workers
Postage for two parcels
Two rolls of packing tape
I couldn't get through to the solicitor either. I'm off to bed with a lemsip, some vapour rub and Colin shortly. Hopefully my nose works all night...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I hope a night with Lemsip and colin have worked wonders and you are ready to face the world afresh today
I trust you can get in contact with the solicitor today - after all, getting the purpose of the 16th October straight will help your timetable plans.
Well done on getting so much sorted, house, car tax, eb*y sales etc when you are clearly so under the weather :T
