Glad you passed your MOT Piq, waiting to hear if it passes or fails is very stressful. Well done! Me and hubby aren't speaking (hehe) as we fell out about all the stuff we have to get rid of, just like you, not enough room for it all. I'm now surrounded by packing boxes and the weekend was a nightmare, we worked all day every day and still only half of house done. I'm making a start on the kitchen today, have to choose which glasses, crockery we keep etc. like you no idea till it all gets there and will choose when unpacking, trouble is those cupboards are full in cottage. Argh. I think I'm getting ill, stress, too much packing, not enough sleep and rowing ha.
I'm feeling your pain xx0 -
Forgot to add, this will make you laugh I hope (((hugs)))
Hubby said amidst packing boxes "Moving house is the most stressful thing in the world I heard'
I said "No, Divorce is the no.1 most stressful thing'
He said " But at least after divorce, its all over with! When we arrive that end we have to unpack all this carp!"

He should be on the stage wifey!
Piq, hope you are much better today. I wonder if the techie forum on here can help you with your phone issue. Silly upgrades!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Ah surbanwifey, there is no pain quite like it :rotfl:Love OH's comment, so true!
I've chucked out so much, it makes me wonder why I bought it in the first place. My biggest worry once I've moved in is the amount of decorative paraphernalia. What is fairly well spaced out and hopefully tasteful in a large house is going to be like an explosion in a curio shoppe . Problem being I like the things individually, but it's not all going to work together. I have two different sculptures in two different rooms here. No way are they going to sit together well, nor will I have the space. I will have to deal with that later.....and I'm not sure where my gorgeous wall hanging tapestry is going to go either
I've chucked the glasses that are cloudy, kept back a couple of cheap wine glasses, if they break I'll join the 'ladies' in the park and swig from the bottle:rotfl:Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I'm not better yet unfortunately, only a cold but it's still building to its cold crescendo. Where I go, the tissues go....
I'm listing on the laptop at the moment, the pictures seem to have sorted themselves out. Not sure about the phone app, will look into it later, maybe when I get to work during the quiet period. I'll take along a 99p experiment!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Yep, I'm with you on all that. I had a large, decorative, gifted wine glass in the cupboard that I never use, but hubby loves it as its fancy. We bickered over the fact that I chose to keep a cheap wine glass that I got from Asda for 50p - seriously, it has been my favourite wine glass for years, I have a small wine glass decoration on it (decorative bead on a metal ring that sits on bottom of stem) a purple gem type thing and its my perfect glass. He couldn't believe I wanted to keep the 50p glass and give away the fancy one. I also have a huge Chinese Lady tapestry that I did years ago and also worry where I will put it as its going nowhere, took me months to do and then cost of professional framing.
Its quite upsetting living in a almost empty house now surrounded by boxes, I feel displaced, out of sync, like my life is disappearing as my stuff is no longer about. My stuff made this house a home, now its becoming a shell and it looks so dreary. The cats are stressed, all 3 getting upsethow is Colin doing? is he coping? apparently moving house is even more stressful for cats, Vet told me last week. I bought a Feliway diffuser to try to calm them all down. Its like a madhouse here.
In some odd way its giving me some comfort that we are both going through all this together, hope my moaning helps you see you are not alone xx0 -
I understand completely, my lovely unique and arty home has become a dusty, slightly grubby house. I have no urge to do any housework, the height of housework duties seem to be to throw some bleach down the loo
Cardboard boxes everywhere and piles of stuff littering most surfaces make it very hard to relax.
Colin doesn't like people coming in and moving things, he's afraid of people carrying items, he's gone back to hiding under the bed if anyone calls. I must ask DS1's girlfriend for the Feliway diffusers she promised. He's explored a couple of empty cupboards, but he's not happy about it all. So far I've kept the living room and bedroom much the same, he's not worried about the lack of books on the shelves, so he can relax in his favourite rooms.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Ooh. Sorry to hear it's not possible for you or the mighty C to relax....that's a pity but completely understandable too.
Here's to a move ASAP! Hope you get through to the solicitors soon.

I aspire to slightly grubbyA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
