Hello, so pleased the flea bay tactics are working well for you.
Regarding the wanting to buy stuff by your buyers, well I think they need to get on a sort out a bridging loan or similar so the sale is not delayed or kaput! THEN they can make vast promises of wealth for items you chose to depart from.
So sorry to hear you cannot get cover on Sat for the birthday celebrations, I wonder what would happen if you were incapacitated .........
The vacuum bags are generally BRILL but do not overfill them as the seams go. We have endless varieties for the packing of summer / winter clothes away in winter / summer. Plus duvets and so on and so forth.
Talking of which I am going to have to consider the changing of the guard clothes wise as it is getting properly autumnal. Fleece for Doglet walking is required.
Hope it works out for you and you continue with the flea bay gains etc.Start info Dec11

Ach, yes, I suppose it did seem to be a bit simplistic to just hope the food could be covered with just a few sandwiches, I suppose what I was trying to covey was a whole 'honesty' evening for once.... but I totally get that there is more to it than just you prepping food. I suppose I am imagining some genteel type members club rather than, actually, a functioning business that requires people working hard to make everything look effortless.
Sorry if I offended, I was just trying to think if someone could be trusted with the key to open/close, I bet they all know how to use the optics..... and if there was a little food to accompany the crisps and the Courvoisier.....well, then perhaps, just perhaps, for one night it could work and you could enjoy your dad's birthday dinner......

Offended? By you? You need to try a lot harder :rotfl:
Basically it's just me on my shift, the job is to cover everything. The problem is no-one is available to cover this shift even though I wasn't supposed to be doing it. I've noticed I'm down to do next Saturday evening too which is really hacking me off! The longest bit of the evening shift is the cleaning up and cashing up, especially as I'm on my own in a very old creepy building  I run to the car, which I've parked as near the exit as I possibly can!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Masses of stuff yet to eb@y, I still hate doing it though.
I've overfilled the vacuum bags in the past, you're right they either split or gradually let the air back in. I think the secret is to buy the better quality ones. I've seen some with proper zips and handles, I'm just shopping round to find the best price. The larger ones will hold duvets and pillows, will be useful to store summer/winter clothes in too. Something I will have to consider with a much smaller house.
Love to doglet and I bet he looks adorable in his fleece. I wonder if I could get Colin to wear one......:think:Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

do you have a contract - is there a 'working alone' policy? if you got injured might be against H &S regs.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500 -

No, no contract. It's a privately owned business. They did put a light outside because I kicked off about how dark it was, no street lights. Everyone who works there works on their own. I'll just be careful with the knives.....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Not possible I'm afraid, no ramp and a very lumpy car park would make things very difficult for Dad.
I haven't told them yet, will ring them later today. They've also changed it into a joint birthday/engagement do. To say I am fed up, annoyed and a bit tearful is an understatement.
Having been without work for so long I have to do this job, I don't have anything else lined up for the winter, but I do want to say 'stick it where the sun don't shine.....'Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Can the celebration be put off to allow you a chance to attend. When is the boss back? Have you spoken to your colleagues and explained the reason why you want this Sat off?
I really hope you manage to sort it out
