Wow caz you look amazing!! I'm converted. I might just buy some on the way home this afternoon. I ought to use up what I've got first though....or I could do the half an half face test that they did with the Nivea. Decisions.....

PS: I'm waiting for a free listing weekend for the horsey stuff, as there's a myler bit and sprenger stirrups for starters, not stuff to start at 99p!

Actually to be fair to you it is not you that has broken your word.
B1 have moved goalpost & not you.
Very unfair of them to expect you to wait I think.
    Funny how things turn out.

Funny how things work out re house selling - you have been honourable throughout and stuck by your principles so dinna fash yerself doll :D.

Glad to hear DD might be sticking around too - very good news.

How soon are you moving, it seems all steam ahead? Take care

Agree with what others have said re sale, you have nothing to reproach yourself for. You have behaved honourably and its just their misfortune that they can't honour their side of the deal. It is however a business transaction at the end of the day and emotions have no place. You are doing this because you have to, not because you want to.

I know you're all right. I just feel a bit guilty that's all. Funny thing is that Buyer 2 have stuck by their original offer of full asking price as they felt they should do the honorable thing too.

If I could afford it I wouldn't have sold in the first place, plain and simple. I am looking forward to having a simpler and cheaper lifestyle though, not to mention without the debts hanging over my head.

Still don't have a moving date, I'm hoping before Christmas, then I can start the new year with a clean slate.

I'm not really looking forward to the coffee shop, the atmosphere between the staff is so toxic. I have to remember it's an extra £120 or so a month, very necessary money at the moment.

Feel quite sad that I haven't painted any pots for a while. Any spare time has to be taken as clearing down time. Again, I can restart once I've moved.

Two more bags of books packed to take down to oxfam today, still a lot to clear :o I have a pile put aside that I want to keep, will probably have to whittle it down later.

Think I might pick up some more vacuum bags, they certainly save space. I love seeing how the contents shrink, brilliant stuff.

Best get ready for that shift....

Wow Piq, events are certainly moving apace for you!

Would it be possible to help B1 recoup some of the survey fee, if it's permissible for B2 to take over the work that's already been done?
Might save some time too. ;)

Hope Hellcow is in a good mood today.

    Trying to shift that debt!
  • I had the same thought as Robin. Seems the sensible thing to do - if it's allowed.

So pleased all seems to be going well and I echo the sentiments about B1 pulling out and B2 stepping up. Decent of them to pay asking price - shows how much they must want your house, Piq.

  • Wow, what good news that you got to go to everything, Piq! You have to wonder if it was receiving blows and disappointments like not being able to attend family gatherings that gave your lovely colleague the reputation of being miserable...

I rejoined the toiletries thread after a month or so's absence, as being on there keeps me focused on looking after me which is very good for me physically and psychologically.
I love Nivea, best thing ever for dry skin -my face is fine but it looks after any dry patches elsewhere very well.
A!di's face creams and serums are brilliant for my face.

I had already asked the estate agent about recouping the survey costs for B1. Unfortunately, the answer is no, can't remember the reason. It would have been the ideal scenario and left me feeling a little less guilty.
