Morning everyone, I'm on my way to inverness
) yes as we speak, have internet access on the bus.
Sammy, I went on prozac too a few months ago, actually I went on them to sort out my PMS but they have had the most amazing effect, I no longer suffer with the awful migraines I've had for the last 10 years.
I will say, stick with them. In the first 2 weeks I almost gave up. I felt really jumpy and spaced out. One day I sat for pretty much the whole day staring into space. I thought, I can't live like this. But by 2 weeks I felt normal again. I take mine before I go to bed at night, I get really tired now, much more than I did and I get really vivid daft dreams.
Wel done to everyone who's lost weight. I haven't, in fact I think I'm gaining. My boobs feel huge (and no I'm def not pregnant).
The house purchase is coming along nicely. We complete in October. I'm so excited. Keren is coming with me to Nashville so I don't get lost when we complete. OH is touring too and we both can't get out of it for a week, which leaves me having to navigate around Tennessee with my pants sense of direction. Keren, the house next door to mine is still being built, I'll make you buy it:D you can be my drum tech. Or my personal AQA assistant.
It's funny I was talking about you and AQA yesterday. See when you're stuck on a bus for hours you start talking crap. We had an hour long debate yesterday on why when a car passes you the sound changes pitch... neeeeooooowwwww. I still don't know why, I'm pretty sure though it isn't because the sound waves have less distance to travel (bloody musos of all people should know it doesn't work like that). So, there's def a need for an AQA-er on board.
So, now I'm waffling, I'm going to go and grab a coffee. ARE WE THERE YET??:A

It's called the doppler effect or something I think Toto.....but I've no idea why it does it either.
Edit - oooh, found this on Wikipedia:
To understand what happens, consider the following analogy. Someone throws one ball every second in a man's direction. Assume that balls travel with constant velocity. If the thrower is stationary, the man will receive one ball every second. However, if the thrower is moving towards the man, he will receive balls more frequently because the balls will be less spaced out. The converse is true if the thrower is moving away from the man. So it is actually the wavelength which is affected; as a consequence, the perceived frequency is also affected. It may also be said that the velocity of the wave remains constant whereas wavelength changes; hence frequency also changes."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

No change for me this week. In one way i'm ok with it as it means i'm controlling me eating rather than the out of control mess I was in, but in another way it is disappointing as I feel a bit of a failure. I should have lost well over a stone on the challenge by now.

Hi Sea and Toto
Thanks for letting me know your experiences of the prozac. Have to admit the last two days I have been a little zombified. No jitters or agitation as the doc suggested, but then it is only day two.
Hopefully I may get to sleep better and have the energy to get my backside into gear......

life is too short!
Oh and I felt really quite exhausted for a week or two, but I think this was my body catching up with itself almost. So it might not help the exhaustion straight away but should soon

I was on Prozac for six months from last October. I was a mess at the time and my body and mind just shut down. I 'existed' and only got through the days by each regular thing being done at the exact same time day in day out. I panicked if I left the house at 8.01am rather than 8.00am and I always did the washing up at 5.00pm and got in the shower or bath at 6.00pm. The doctor said I was 'very close to the edge'. It took about 2 months for me before any kind of change at all and I stopped taking them in March when I went on holiday - virtually the first time I'd been out of the house for 6 months other than the stuff I 'had' to do.
Anyway, that's partly how the weight went back on- I ate constantly - it became a huge crutch.
Today then for food, I'm having
breakfast - bacon sandwich
lunch - cheese on toast
dinner - chicken cannelloni"Stay Wonky":D
