  • Thanks sammy :A I am supposed to be making soup today... i dont think so! Sadly we havnt got biscuits but we have plenty of bread so i will prob have toast all day :rotfl:

I was just amazed to see it really... its mostly in my isa but its just wow... nearly saved £1,000 :T I suppose my wages arnt that bad (38hours = £775.20... i always try and do one days overtime to make up my tax/ni/pension) but my outgoings are £386.00 (ish) per month and then saving £300 (i must admitt i have transfered more this month over) it is hard... i am just glad i didnt blow £300 a few days ago :D

Morning, apologies for vodka fuelled ramblings last night! :o

(Note to self....must remember to give up alcohol some day....)

Pap, your post says your account is in the red? I presume you mean the black lol - congratulations anyway, that's a fantastic balance to have, such a turnaround from a few months ago when you were worried about being back in debt again. :T

Lucy/Sammy - my weight loss always seems to lag a week behind too, strange that!

We love the chinese bbq chicken too - we have it with corn on the cob and potato wedges or croquet potatoes.

My foot is recovering :o so I've been doing a little bit more walking again - just did the school run but walked home via my SIL's house (well, when I say 'via', it's actually in the opposite direction ), so it took me 40 minutes instead of 20. Not sure I can see the effect of all this exercise yet though, but my boots are looking distinctly worn, so I'm not convinced it's very DFW hahaha!

well...........sigh........this was the conversation as I woke this morning

OH: You've got another new skirt hanging on the back of the door, maybe if you lost weight you could fit into the ones you already have

ME: I've lost 8 pounds in the last 4 weeks

OH: You are bigger now than at anytime we have been together

ME: No, I'm the same as when we first met. I've a skirt in the wardrobe I wear now that I used to wear when we met

OH: Well, it must have been loose then

    ME: No, it was tight

OH: Well, you ned to lose weight

ME: so find yourself a slimmer model

OH: no, you should just lose weight

He then got up and looked at the tag (I'm guessing he saw the size) and went something like 'christ/yuck' and when I asked him why he had said it, he just said 'no reason'.

    I'm not happy.

 I'd have slapped him  Sounds like you were much calmer that I would have been.

Oh Keren, that's just awful (((hugs))), you shouldn't put up with that sweetheart. Don't let him get to you, you are doing really well - maybe if he gave you a bit more support and wasn't quite so vile to you (sorry, I'm probably speaking out of turn but he's made me mad ), you would find the weight loss easier anyway. Please don't give up.

I've seen your photo and you're so pretty - he should be grateful he's got you.

    Plan of action:

Lose weight until YOU are happy with your appearance
Go out shopping with his credit card
Spend a fortune on sexy clothes
Leave the price tags where he can see them (now he really WILL say 'christ' when he looks at the label!!)
Go out on the lash with your DFW friends, looking amazing, and make him thoroughly jealous in an attempt to make him see what an idiot he's being.

I'm on the point of dumping him to tell you the truth. I've got a letter typed and in an envelope. That is what I had done just before I fell down the steps the other day.

I know I should do it, but I just don't have the confidence or courage. I know all the reasons why I should, but I just don't know why I can't do it, especially as I know there could be something much nicer just around the corner.

If that's how are feel then you need to go through with it. I thought I had a lovely fiance, who loved me just as I was (V Bridget Jones) Until one day he call me up on my mobile and said he'd been having an affair!!

I walked away and found something much better, even if for a while I wasn't sure there was anyone out there for me. I think as women we need to remember we should have the best we can find.... and never settle for anything less. We are worth far to much.

Try not to feel bad x
