I'm not sure if it's 'proper' Manchester Tart - I'm sure someone who can actually cook will correct me, but mine was a pastry base (rolled extra thin to cut down on calories hahaha!), jam, bananas, custard, and then coconut sprinkled on top. It was REALLY nice.

I was good though, only had a small piece, hubby & DS had the rest, and because I had enough ingredients to make two, I took the other over to my heavily pregnant (39+ weeks ) neighbour!

That was probably the best retort I have ever seen!

We've been good friends for a few years, but we didn't plan having babies close together, it was just a weird coincidence. She lives directly opposite me, and her neighbour has just had a baby too, so I think it must have been something in the water! Her husband left her when she was about 3 months pregnant though, so she's having a bit of a nightmare, as she has a 2 year old already.

PS do you like strawberries? I made a strawberry tart too, with pastry, custard and strawberries. That's for tomorrow though, but I'm only having some if I've lost weight tomorrow morning lol!
