oh toto that sounds awful babes have you been to a chiro before? i ask this as up here they are very expensive £27 a time and they want you to go three times a week for quite a while ...i landed up going to an osteomyologist for my back £45 a time but two visits and i felt a whole load better my friend has spent thousands at the chiro never been in debt in her life till then (and she was in her 40's when she started going) 3 years later thousands of pounds worth of debt but the pain is nearly gone so she felt it worth it...i think for a nerve the best thing is rest (which i know you cant do right now) you could try solpadeine or diazepam if you can get any fromt he dr's ...hope it eases off for you

    Hi Sammy...

Your not the first to put weight on... I had a really bad week last week.... But everything is going better this week. Just get back on it and see what happens.

    Has anyone had this before?

Yep, I've had it a couple of times. It goes as quickly as it comes - at least for me. You'll know because it goes from a stabbing pain to a dull ache.

Sleep also helps because you relax so completely, it gives it a chance to "pop out" from where it's trapped - but be on a comfortable bed. Anti-inflammatories also help because things stop being so "tight" - otherwise you can end up in the vicious circle of "trapped nerve" - swelling - even more trapped - pain, swelling, etc...

    Aren't I a bundle of joy..? :D

Please tell me it'll go with a couple of Zs pain pills and a shot of Jack Daniels?

That should ease the pain, but it just takes time. Not getting any pain down the back of your legs are you?

Physio helped me and bed rest for a couple of days. No longer though as this does more damage. But if you can keep going, but Back Book says that walking and cycling are good so long as you don't over do it.

Warm baths are good and anything that will relax you. One of my Physio's also told me to always stand up or lie down to sneeze as this put less pressure on your back. Good old hot water bottles are good to. If not see you doctor for some painkillers etc.

Hope you feel better soon Toto
